You may not have a physical switch.
Your laptop could just use the Fn + special function key combo.
Press the Fn key (lower left on the keyboard) and the special function key that has a little icon that looks like an antenna. That should turn it on and off.
also, be sure that, in device manager, the wireless adapter is enabled.
