Most probably there will be a trash button or any button that will prompt you to delete a or multiple pictures when you are in Play Mode (Viewing pictures)

Memory is full and I want to clear the memory

Do you mean your memory card? If so,your best bet is to get a usb dongle that can accept multiple types of cards and then use that to access it. You can also scroll through your pics on your camera and delete them as well.

The camera is telling you that the internal memory is full. To get your card to work, you must clear it. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work unless you formatted it in the computer, in which case you'll have to format (completely erases it) it in the camera.

Did you use the camera or your computer to erase the pics? Since the pics are safely on your computer, try formatting the internal memory with no card in the camera and then, format the card in the camera.

Screen says internal memory is full. how do you clear the internal memory

Hi there internal memory means inbuilt memory. When you click the snap all photos are save in your camera internal memory. I hope you use external memory card. Go in settings and select the memory card( external) for further snaps. Then the message did not come again until full the memory card. And if you want to clear the internal memory card then connect your camera with your PC then copy the all photos from the camera & paste in computer. After that go inside the internal memory of camera via computer & delete them. Then your camera in build memory card will empty. I hope you understand . If you have any question then ask me. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Memory full; how to clear

Sounds like you will need to format the internal memory of the camera. This will permanently erase all the data from the internal memory and then you will be able to use it again. To format the memory: Remove the xD card from the camera - Press the Menu button - right arrow to setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the memory so it can be used again.

Memory

assuming you can access the card in your computer either via the camera or via a card reader you do have a chanve of getting some back - the latest batch and some of earlier sessions if not over written Go to www.konvar.com and download PCInspector, Install the program and run it. direct it to the image source and run the program- see what happens

Bug in the Optio S40?

Somewhere I read to be careful using cardreaders, using your memory card in different camera's and managing your card via the computer. Appearantly all of these can corrupt your card. The advice is to hook your camera directly up to your computer to transfer images and perhaps it is wise to erase images through the camera's menu instead of via the transfer program of the computer. Try formatting the card using the camera's menu and see if the problem persists.
