So the files are still on and working? Your best bet is to delete them through the MP3 player itself. A computer sometimes isn't allowed by the MP3 player to delete the songs. If that does not work, attempt to do a full reset of it, some of them have that option, or a small button that takes a pen to pressed, and hold.

Give the computer time to recognize the Sansa MP3 player. Once it has, double-click on the MP3 player's icon to view the music files stored to memory.

Scroll through the list of audio files until you find the ones that you wish to delete from the Sansa MP3 player.

How do you delete stuff on your mp3 player

Your SanDisk Sansa Player does not allow you to delete files from within the player. Deleting Music Files On Your Sansa MP3 Player When your player is connected to your computer with the USB connector, you can use your computer file browser software to view all files on your player. Your player will appear as Sansa m230 or m240. Follow these steps: Playing Music 1. Use the USB connector cable provided with your player to connect the USB port on the top of your player to an open USB port on your computer. The player will appear as a Windows Portable Device on your computer. (Can’t find the USB port on your player? See The Basic Controls section on Page 3.) 2. Delete your music files to the player with software tools like Rhapsody, Windows Media Player or Napster Client. 3. To use the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client software to delete files to your player please refer to the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client help file. NOTE: While you can store and organize your audio files on your player using folders with names you select, your player will ignore folders and names. Instead, your Sansa player will extract information from each audio file so that you can use the software menu to navigate your files by artist, album title, song title, and other useful criteria.

Deleting songs

be careful not to format the player, it needs some software to run, just delete the files using a windows!PC.
conect it to the usb-port using the adaptor-cable,
have the driver cd(if you have one)ready, install the drivers that fit your windows version and player, and use the file manager to delete the mp3s only!
good luck

How do i put movies on the NAXA NX-142?

The NAXA NX-142 came with a miniature CD you must use the CD to install the software called AMV converter to your computer. Then run the AMV converter with the NX-142 plugged into the USB port. You can then convert certain videos like WMV files into AMV files which can be automatically uploaded to the NX-142 be sure to choose to upload the videos into the MOVIED subdirectory to help keep things organized on the NX-142 The AMV converter will allow certain settings to be selected. The manual is helpful but the printing is so small that I can't read it even with glasses.
Good Luck

  • Unlike other documents and files, once the music file hits the Recycle Bin, it’s gone. Make sure that you are deleting the correct file.

INOVIX IMP-1112 MP3 crashing my computer.

sounds like bad news - if the flash (update to firmware) failed during update, the item is more than likely dead. Warranty return possible? Can you try another usb device on that same pc? just to verify the usb ports are working properly and supplying proper power to the devices.
