Hi

Sounds like the timing for the drawer has been knocked out of alignment. You can take top off to remove the discs...the timing can be realigned( assuming there are no broken parts). The trays can skip gears and sometimes be returned to their alignment but usually the plastic breaks easily and some important tab gets broken off unplug the unit for a minute, that is a "reset" or sometimes there is a tiny hold with a button inside, but its usually got "reset" written somewhere next to it If all else fails, look for the SAMS photofacts or the service manual, one of the authorized service centers will have one. Panasonic makes excellent equipment usually made to be fixed .The best way to re-align the timing is top obtain the service manual. Here, it will give you detailed instructions on what marks to line up....you may be able to get a service manual from UED.net...They are a Panasonic parts dist.

Try this:

Press and hold [?] (Stop) on the main unit and [>10] on the remote control until "INITIALIZED" disappears from the TV. Turn the unit off and on again.

All settings should return to the default values.
Not saying it will work though!

How to connect a blue ray player with the sc pt760 sound system with dvd?

According to the models you provided it looks like the DVD player has only HDMI out and the sound system you have does not directly support that. I would suggest purchasing a HDMI audio extractor so that you can covert the digital signal from your blu-ray to an analog signal. However, there are other ways of doing this. If you provide me with your TV that you use I might be able to advise another work around.

Go on google and look for "hdmi audio converter" or "hdmi audio Extractor".

Make sure to look at review to determine the quality of the product and decide what device fits your budget.

How and where can i get a new panasonic dvd for my home theather system. model number sc-pt660. the disk changer does not open and close.

Considering that this unit comes as a bundle it wouldnt be profitable for stores to carry the parts seperatly. The best bet here would be if it still is within the 30 return policy then to take it back to the store you purchased it from to swap out for another. Since Im sure this isnt the case or you would have already done this you can try to save a dime by searching ebay for part systems and repairing or replacing the problem part in your tray (specifically being the tray motor). Theres plenty of tutorials for similar products found on DIY.com. Heres a link...

I start up my panasonic sa-pt660 and it makes a lot of ticking noises and give me a chgr err. I tried restarting it. I also tried switching it to the radio and dvd player from the remote and the console...

OK I fixed it. One of the CD's had gotten stuck between trays in the loader. I pulled out a few CD's by forcing open the trays gently. However even after removing as many cd's as possible one was still stuck. 1. Remove screws holding cover plate on in back and sides. 2. Remove cover. 3. Lift face plate latches and lift over top of unit. Remove serial cables from face plate and place aside. Remove screws from back of CD tray unit and bend back metal tab with flathead screwdriver. Lift CD unit up on one side so you can get your fingers up inside underneath and push stuck cd towards tray openings. You can gently force top few trays out. You may need to shake unit so that stuck cd reaches open end. Pull out CD. 4. Replace faceplate and connect serial cables. Plug in power cord, power on unit and make sure trays will eject normally. 5. Put it all back together!

take the cover off. couple screws on back and 6 or so on the bottom.pay close attetion to the screw length and do not mix them up.you should be able to see and remove the disc by mechanically moving it and the mechanism around.be careful not to force anything.they are very fragile. cheers
