Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Unit goes through all cycles properly but more often than not, the clothes will still be damp and a small amount of water in the base of the basket. In other words, I think it drains but not fully and not all the time.

Comon problem they have plastic drain pumps on them with plastic impellers on them... i would check or replace that ,but prior to replacing make sure your drain hose and your house drain are clear of any obstructions... sometimes the simplest thing like running some liquid draino down your drain at wall will cure the problem as lint and stuff gets in drain lines .... drain pump is relatively easy to access and replace under unit.... good luck to you

Horrible damp smell in my easi logic 1500 washing machine, what's the best cause of action?

Check the drainage of the machine.nothing like stagnant water sitting in the hoses and bottom of machine to cause smells.first check the penny / button trap for coins or debris as this will cause unsatisfactory emptying .do a rinse cycle with no cloths in machine.Get some calgon or anything that removes washing machine or dishwasher lime scale.then do a full wash without clothes on 60 degrees or above with small amount of bleach and lime scale remover.make sure the room is well ventilated.never overfill machine with dirty laundry when washing as this prevents the rinse cycles from removing bad water completely.try leaving the door slightly open between washes but only if you have no pets or children to prevent build up of damp spores.

The clean light came on and I cannot find my manual to find out how to clen it. Plaeas help

Always turn coffeemaker OFF and remove the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning. Lift up the reservoir cover. Remove and discard the paper filter and ground coffee. The filter basket can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher. Dry all parts after use. Do not put any water in the unit once the filter basket has been removed. Wipe the area under the filter basket with a damp cloth. Remove the carafe from the heating plate. Discard any remaining coffee. The carafe and lid can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or placed in a dishwasher. The carafe and carafe lid should be placed on the upper rack only. Do not use any scouring agents or harsh cleansers on any part of the coffeemaker. Never immerse base unit in water or other liquid. To clean base, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry before storing. Fingerprints and other blemishes on the stainless steel housing can be washed off with soap and water or a nonabrasive cleaning solution. Wipe warming plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough, abrasive materials or cleansers to clean the warming plate. Do not dry the inside of the water reservoir with a cloth, as lint may remain.

I need to remove the parts for washing How I do this?

Things You'll Need:
  • Soft-bristled brush
  • Stiff-bristled brush
  • Dishwasher (optional)
  • Mild detergent
  • Lint-free microfiber cloths
  1. Unplug your Acme 6001 Juicer. Carry it to a countertop near your kitchen sink.

  2. Remove the pusher and cover, and set the pieces in a sink. Unscrew the clutch, remove it and set it in the sink. Remove the cutter blade, strainer basket and juice bowl, and place the pieces in the sink.
  3. Discard or remove and store any pulp that you find in the strainer basket. When you're finished, rinse the remaining fruit and vegetable pulp and juice from the pieces under cool, running water. Dislodge hard-to-remove pulp from the cutter blade and strainer basket with a soft-bristled brush or with a stiff-bristled brush if necessary.
  4. Wash the pieces in a dishwasher or by hand. To wash in a dishwasher, place the stainless steel pieces in the lower rack and the plastic in the top rack and wash on a normal cycle with other kitchenware. To wash by hand, fill the sink with warm water and a few drops of mild detergent and wash with a lint-free microfiber cloth.
  5. Run the pieces through the rinse cycle in your dishwasher or rinse under running tap water by hand. Air or wipe dry the pieces.

  6. Wipe the base with a slightly soapy cloth. Rinse with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Reassemble your juicer by returning the pieces to the base in reverse order.

I have my Mom's 193909WB coffeemaker, It runs like a top! How do I clean it?

Here are the cleaning instructions directly from West Bend's instruction manual. Good luck!

Cleaning Instructions
1. Unplug coffeemaker and allow to cool before cleaning.
2. Clean basket, stem and cover in hot soapy water with a dishcloth, rinse and dry. Coffee stains on underside of cover or stem may be removed by scouring with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleanser.
3. Clean inside of coffeemaker by filling with hot water until about one-third full. Add small amount of liquid dishwasher detergent and wash with a dishcloth or sponge. Then clean the heating unit well (where stem fits) with a scouring pad, to remove coffee residue. Twist pad inside heating unit well to clean thoroughly. IMPORTANT: If heating unit well is not kept clean, coffeemaker will not perform properly.
4. After cleaning inside of coffeemaker, drain and rinse inside. Clean faucet by letting clear water run through it into sink, while moving faucet handle up and down. Drain water from inside of coffeemaker and dry.
5. Clean outside of coffeemaker with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive metal scouring pads or cleansers on outside of coffeemaker as scratching will occur.

DO NOT WASH COFFEEMAKER PARTS IN AN AUTOMATIC DISHWASHER.

Special Cleaning Instructions
To Remove Mineral Deposits: If coffeemaker is used daily, a special cleaning every 2 weeks OR every week if used for heating water, is necessary. Fill coffeemaker with 1 quart each of water and white distilled vinegar. (If a white mineral buildup has formed on inside of coffeemaker, use an additional 2 cups of vinegar.) Place stem and empty coffee basket in place, secure cover onto coffeemaker and plug in. Allow coffeemaker to complete perking cycle, then let stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Unplug and drain coffeemaker. Allow to cool and follow general cleaning instructions.
To Remove Discoloration: Inside of the coffeemaker can discolor when used for heating water, which is normal. To remove/lighten discoloration, fill coffeemaker with water to the level of discoloration (at least to the 12 cup level, but not past maximum cup level). Place stem and empty basket in place. For every 12 cups of water added to coffeemaker, add 2 teaspoons cream of tartar to basket. Secure cover onto coffeemaker, plug cord into coffemaker and then into outlet and allow coffeemaker to complete perk cycle. Let stand for 15 to 20 minutes or until discoloration is lightened. Unplug cord and drain coffeemaker. Allow to cool and follow general cleaning instructions.
Do not use baking soda to clean coffeemaker, as it will discolor inside metal.
After frequent use, coffee residue may collect inside faucet. To clean, unscrew top half of faucet. Move a small brush up and down through faucet. Insert brush through opening inside coffeemaker to clean faucet connection. Rinse and replace top half of faucet.

How do i get all the dog hair out of maytag front loaders after i wash my clothers theres still dog hair on them & yes i clean the filters

Make sure you are using the proper amount of "HE" detergant based on our water hardness. Soil and pet hair are suspended in the wash engymes during the was cycle to be taken away during the drain cycle. Use of a non "HE" detergant will produce an over sudsing condition and soil will be suspended in the suds and redeposit on the garments and inner basket during the drain cycle. Using a lesser amount of non "HE" detergant will provide an insufficient amount of wash engymes and also give you the condition you are experiencing. Try using a combination of a granular "HE detergant added directly to the load of clothes along with a liquid fabric softner added to the dispensor. This should help you out. Of course shaking out the garments outdoors that have heavy deposits of pet hair would help as well.

Keeps spilling over during brewing

These tanks can't actually be overfilled since all water poured in displaces the exact same amount of water coming out the spout. So, whatever amount of water you pour in, will be the same amount of water that flows to your pot minus the amount absorbed by the coffee grounds and filter.

Your problems sounds like an undersized (Non Bunn) filter, or clogged brew basket. To verify this, try pouring in only half the water for your brew cycle and wait for it to finish dripping, then pour in the rest. If no overflow has occurred, you simply have the wrong type of filter. If overflow begins again, you have a clogged brew basket, since no Bunn can flow too fast for the brew basket to keep up with it.

This is because Bunn filters are manufactured differently than generic store bought paper filters. They will flow faster, brew cleaner and stand up better than normal generic filters.
Remember, Bunn makes their OWN filters for good reason.
They made the first, best paper filters for drip coffee pots, and all others are just generic dioxin gas producing paper.

How do i clean my cuisinart grind and brew coffee maker? i can't find my instruction booklet and it needs to be cleaned. thanks!

From the manual I found online here.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE COMPLETELY CLEAN AND DRY ALL PARTS AFTER EVERY USE. Always turn coffeemaker OFF and remove the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning. Open the reservoir lid*. Remove the grinder basket lid by using the recessed area on each side of the lid. Then remove Grinder Basket. Open Filter Basket Door. Remove Filter Basket Cover, Filter Basket and Filter Basket holder. The grinder basket, grinder basket lid, filter basket and filter basket cover can be washed in warm soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher. Dry all parts after every use. Do not put any water in the unit once the grinder basket has been removed. Wipe the area under the grinder basket with a damp cloth. If water gets into the grinder motor, the motor may become damaged and may malfunction.
DECALCIFICATION Decalcification refers to removing the calcium deposits which form over time on the metal parts of the coffeemaker. For best performance from your coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit from time to time. The frequency depends upon the hardness of your tap water and how often you use the coffeemaker. To clean, fill the water reservoir to capacity with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water. Turn the coffeemaker on by pressing the ON button. One cycle should be sufficient to adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the cycle is completed and the five beeps sound, turn coffeemaker off. Repeat operation, this time using fresh cold water.

How do I properly clean the coffee maker and then get the light to go off?

Hi,

  1. Allow the unit to cool completely and unplug it before cleaning. use a sponge dampened with soapy water to clean the outside of the coffeemaker, then dry carefully.
  2. Open the reservoir cover and the filter compartment. Remove the coffee grinder lid, the grinder, the filter basket, its cover and the support.
  3. Wash the pieces along with the measure, the carafe and its lid in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroghly and dry. Then replace them in the unit.
  4. All these pieces are also dishwasher safe.
  5. Never pour water inte the unit when the grinder is not in place.
  6. Wipe the part under the filter basket and the heater plate with a damp cloth.
  7. Do not wipe the inside of the reservoir as this may leave fabric or paper residue.
  8. Do not use abrasive sponges or cleaning agents as these could damage the finish.
  9. NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE OF THE UNIT IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
The reservoir cover may also be removed to facilitate cleaning.

Descaling.
Over time and through normal use, lime deposits will build up.
Scale can interfere with the fine mechanics and give the coffee a harsh, bitter taste. For reason, your coffeemaker should be descaled regularly to guarantee good coffee. The frequency of descaling depends on how hard the water is and how frequently you use the coffeemaker.
  • To descale, dilute 30cl white vinegar in 30cl water, pour the mixture into the reservoir and begin a brew cycle.
  • Then run two full cycles by filling the reservoir with water (but no coffee) to rinse the system.
Hope this will help you.
/Mirran
