You have not mentioned the make model of the device but I presume this is a cassette video recorder. It is possible that the camcorder is shutting down due to a error or protection. This can be due to failure of the drum, action of the DEW switch or a failure of the capstan or the reel drives.
You will need some tech help to check these one by one to confirm, If this is a dew protection, use a hair dryer to warm inside of the cassette tray, drum region and try to play.

I have a JVC mini DV digital Video camera model No. GR-D295U that was lost for almost 5 years and we found it. The camera had a tape inside and we can see it but the sound like jumps, is anyway that I can...

The battery is very likely BAD (has high internal resistance)! Can you take the battery OUT, and run with ONLY the charge cable attached? Does that make any difference in performance?

Hi, my Sony digital camera keeps having a beeping error saying 'reattach power source' and I am unable to remove the cassette from it or use the camera. Is this something I can fix mys

I do not have experience with that particular error code. But I can tell you that I was able to eject the cassette in my DCR-30 by leaving it unplugged and leaving the battery disconnected for a few days. When I reconnected the power supply after that, the cassette loading system reacted by operating normally again.

Reinsert cassette message

Believe it or not, after having the same problem "re-insert cassette" and "reattach power source", and after talking to Sony and them telling me it would be $111.00 to repair, I hit mine with the palm of my hand twice on each side and twice on the back by the battery and it actually worked--haha Go Figure!!

I have a Sharp ViewcamZ VL-Z900. DEW error

Dew has condensed in the camera. Eject the cassette but leave the cassette door open.remove the battery . Borrow a hair drier . set it to optimum temperature(not vey hot but but hot enough to cause discomfort when blown on fingers). direct the hot air through the cassette compartment door for about five minutes. reattach the battery and reinsert the tape.
Good Luck,

E04

Here's what i found. I was able to clear the message by opening and closing and ejecting the cassette. I also had to play with the battery at the same time. Keeping the cassette door open and then pulling out the battery. After is did this a couple of times i got the message to clear. I too haven't used my camcorder for some time and now that the error message has cleared the camcorder tells me that i need to clean the heads. Hope this helps. Below is the message i found that pointed me toward ejecting the cassette. An error indication (E03 or E04) appears. - (E03 or E04 UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE REMOVE AND REATTACH BATTERY) This massage a malfunction of some kind has occurred. In this case the camcorder's functions become unusable. - Eject the cassette once and re-insert it, then check if the indication clears. When it does, you can resume using the camcorder. If the indication remains, consult your nearest JVC dealer or service center

YOUR TAPE MAY BE DAMAGED IF YOU TRY TO OPEN THE CAMCORDER - HOLD EJECT BUTTON DOWN BEFORE ! YOU REATTACH BATTERY THEN READ THE ERROR CODE ? IF IT STILL DOES NOT EJECT .
