    Hey Daniel -

Thanks btw... any helpful hints on getting the back panel off?

  • tendisch Mar 12, 2011

Daniel - the inside of the back of my dryer doesn't look anything like the one in the video. I did find a Tech Data Sheet inside of the dryer however, and when I ran the test I came up with an error code of E93 004. Thoughts??

Daniel - sorry for the delay but had to leave the house for a while. This video doesn't look ANYTHING like the back of my dryer. The back panel on my dryer does not separate from the unit like this one. My back panel has all the wiring harnesses and everything attached to it (including the drum). I can pull off the vent cover to look inside but I can't see anything that resembles this Thermal Fuse like the video shows. Are you sure we have the right Model #?

Tried replacing both parts during the week... still no heat. ???

  • tendisch Mar 20, 2011

Tried that part as well... as recommended by the parts store personnel. No difference...

Hi

I believe that everything else is fine rather it is the thermostat that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if bad replace it as it cannot be reset. If the fuse is fine then check the dryer belt and idler pulley...Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

E93 error means no line voltage which is caused either by blockage in the lint filter or when the thermostat goes bad....and the video was an example on how its done...you can also check this video:

    Hi

The videos were example how to check the thermal fuse and thermostat. Please check part#F36 (Thermal fuse) and F33 (High limit Thermostat)---

Unplug the dryer, pop up the top and take it off. Unplug the 2 plugs, take 2 screws out that hold the front door, take out the door. Get the belt loose from the back roller, pull out the entire drum. Check for the thermostat at locations mentioned in the above schematic.

Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Please check part #F15 (thermistor) in below link--

Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the thermistor. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

What does area Error code E-05 mean on a Frigidaire front load dryer model # AEQ6000ES2

model aeq6000es2: the "e05" error code normally indicates that control board may need to be replaced or a stuck relay on the control panel. you can reset the unit by unplugging the dryer power cord for 5 minutes and then reapplying the power. if the problem persists then the control board or the control panel may need to be at fault.

My Frigidaire Dryer (AEQ6000ES2) won't heat. Did

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

Frigidaire affinity dryer problem

the thermistor in air outlet duct is very common for these. with front panel off find plastic duct from blower at bottom. pull out thermistor and look at inner side. it has triangular shape and if you can see shiny redish color at tip instead of all black then its worn. this causes numerous heat and control issues.

My Frigidaire Electric Dryer keeps giving an error code

If your dryer is the same or similar to mine (Model AEQ6000ES2) then error E68 is a stuck key on the keypad. This may be mechanically stuck or the membrane contacts. The simple solution is to replace the keypad.
I found this information by searching for "Frigidaire Model AEQ6000ES2"
