Question about KitchenAid Ovens

Open Question

We recently got a kitchenaid superba selectra self cleaning thermal convection oven model # YKERC507AW0 We have no user manual as it was given to us, unfortunately there is an error code F2 that shows up on the screen. the burners work, the oven does not, we were told possibly faulty heat sensor which we purchased and installed, still the same code appears. any help would be greatly appreciated!

SOURCE: Oven/Broiler Igniters for KitchenAid range KGST307

Oven bake ignites usually have lifetime 5-7 years. If igniter glows but gas not came in - replace igniter. Same with broil igniter.

There is a overload thermostat on the rear of the oven that will have to be replaced.

SOURCE: OVEN will not heat

KitchenAid KEBC107KSS does not heat hot enough and does not heat evenly. When the temperature is dialed higher, it burns the cookies. When the convection fan is on, it has a 'cooling effect' so the temperature never reaches the proper level. Is this problem repairable? Or is this a thermostat issue? Thank you for your help!

Kitchen Aid Oven - Superba Selectra- receive

Hi,

Here is what Kitchen Aid says about F4:

F4 Meat probe shorted
1. Disconnect meat probe and measure probe resistance (78kω at 60° F [15.6° C],
37kω at 90° F [32.2° C]).
2. If resistance is not valid replace probe.
3. Insert probe and check for a firm connection between probe and jack (in oven cavity).
4. Check connection between jack and harness (in rear of oven).

It sounds like the probe jack may be bad or the wiring between the jack and the control board above.

Sorry, I have the same oven and the same complaint. The manual doesn't indicate anything. BTW- the service manual is inside the oven frame, between oven "lining" and the outside sheet metal.
