Question about Pioneer Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I have a Pioneer Laser Jukebox manufactured in 9/1990 and does not read the cd number that I enter and will not go any further. The model number is CJ V55. I am also looking for a manual for this model. Thanks. I see that your site states that the advice is free. Is that right?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Pioneer Laser jukebox error FP

This FP in the selections remaining screen means that the machine is on FREE PLAY and needs no money to be inserted.

The buttons do have a beep as they are being pressed. They should be registering on the display as you enter them.

Unless there are no CD's installed.
The pioneer laser juke will initialize (pull each and every CD one at a time) all the CD's when the power is turned on and the service switch is place back in the "run" position (usually operated by closing the lid) . All CD and track information is stored into the computers memory. The computer will NOT ALLOW you to select song that do not exists in its memory. It will also disallow a stored CD if it skips too often.

1) Make sure that the CD's are present and are actually being initialized.
2) If it fails to initialize the CD's when powered on, check to see if the service switch is broken or disables in some way. Operators did this to keep it from reading every CD, every time it was powered on. It also made it possible to play the the machine immediately after power on.
3) Bad players, These players have a habit of, well the laser lens fall s out.and they wont work. You often find them ratteling around in the bottom of the player
4) problems with connecting cables.

Hope this was helpful.

It depends on the model number of the player. There was an issue with skipping discs when turning left that was down to a weak suspension spring but if it cannot read TOC then a new laser assembly is required. They are available from many Chinese manufacturers.

Have lost key and need to replace right side bulb on wurlitzer 1015 cd one more time

Hi,

If the lock is a standard lock for the model of your jukebox then you should be able to get a replacement from the distributor.
Look on the back of the jukebox for a serial number plate. This will tell you the manufacturer and the model number etc. The jukebox could be a Wurlitzer, Rowe Ami, Rock Ola or Antique Apperatus.
Once the details are known you could get a key from www.victoryglass.com in the USA.

Cd drive wont read discs

Yes there is .... Do these in any order:
#1:
The CD laser lens needs cleaning. Maybe a blast of air from a comprerssed air can ($7 Office Depot, Max, Best Buy) will clean it.

#2:
Do you have access to a USB CD or DVD drive?
That may be your best bet to boot from it....

#3:
See if you are able to get the "Safe Mode" menu using the [F8] key on boot-up. From the menu, select "start computer in last known good configuration". That may fix everything.

Hey Dave

Sorry I have only just seen this question. I'm not sure the problem you describe is related to how many CDs it is set for. If it puts the CD down and tries, but wont play it it's usually the laser unit. But...

To set the number of CD's in the carousel.....
Service switch on.(on computer)
Press LT (on computer)
press 5 (on keyboard)
enter xx00 (on keyboard) where xx is number of CDs.
service switch Off
Press LT
