You can try pressing the F8 key a bit before windows boots to enter safe-mode, which should allow you to enter the administrator user. You should then go to the "control panel/users" section and change/reset the password for your user account. I hope it helps you solve your problem! If not, there are more advanced solutions possible!
Good luck!

I cant login to yahoo.

why, you can't log in your yahoo, is either your password or user name is not correct or properly entered. So check if you enter the right password or user name to log in. Because there is no way you enter the right user name and password and you can't in.be sure of what detail you use in creating your account.

My laptop has a password and i typed in the password that it should bet yet it isnt working, as soon as i turn the computer on it comes to a screen saying enter passowrd. My laptop is an acer travelmate...

Is this computer a member of a domain or just local?
If a domain member, contact your administrator to reset the password for you.

If local (or in a workgroup)
Log in as a local administrator, then you may be able to reset your password.

When logging in, type, Administrator as the user name and type in your password (if you remember). Try password as blank first if you haven't set a password. Default password is usually 12345

Once logged in:

Click Start, right-click My Computer, select Manage.
Under Computer Management --> Expand System Tools --> Local Users and Groups, the select Users folder.

Locate your user name on the right pane, right-click on your username, then select Set Password. Change your password.

Pls let me know if this solution worked for you.
