If you can access the web based configuration panel on the router, normally by typing in your browser the ip address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 you can get, use the default password from your router stating guide or costumer service if you haven't change it.
Then go to the security section or wireless security and look for the mac address filter config and turn it off.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Trying to connect dir-615 to qwest modem pk5000z. Can you help? We have two computers hooked up to pk5000z.

It looks like the Qwest modem is a modem/wireless router. It's hard to set up a router through a router. It's easier to connect multiple devices with a switch or hub going through a router then a router through a router. Other then me trying to guess at the problem below is a link to Qwest's support page. They have an excellent support page with troubleshooters, manuals and guides. I would try there first because the support page is so good.
If you don't need the second router then please don't try to set it up.

Im trying to get online on my xbox but its telling me i need to turn off my mac filter how do i do that

To turn off your mac filter a quick solution is to reset your router. Gain access to your router which provides the internet for your xbox (the box that provides wireless internet). On the back there should be a button that allows you to reset your router.
(It is usually recessed and in a very small hole, so look carefully)
Press it for 10-20 seconds, this should reset your router, and the mac filter should be turned off.
Hope this helps! Best of luck.

I need to either block certain ip or mac addresses or only allow a select few. how can i do this.

Well, when it comes to ip addresses, you must either turn off dhcp (which automatically gives out ip addresses to devices joining the network) and assign static ip addresses to each individual device on the network, or simply decrease the number of ip addresses your router's dhcp gives out by narrowing the dhcp range. Blocking ip addresses is an ineffective way of preventing access to the network. MAC Address filtering, on the other hand, is much more secure. Usually this is locating under Wireless - MAC Filter in the router's configuration page. When you get to the menu, you usually have the option of making an allow or deny list. If you are having problems with unknown devices, I would go with allow only option, and enter each of your device's MAC addresses. The one main problem is that you will have to do this every time a new device is added to the network, but it makes the network much more secure.

Does anyone know how to Do MAC address filtering on Thomson TG782T router?

1st. Have a look at the wireless card that is inserted in your computer, check the label it, will have the MAC address printed on the label. If the wireless card is inside the laptop then have a look at the properties of the wireless card - it should give the MAC address of the wireless card.

2nd. Connect a LAN cable to the wireless router and enter the router's configuration URL address and go to the wireless configuration - then click on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless card.

The router will only allow the MAC addresses that are in this table to connect to the router.

For further information on securing your wireless network, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

Temporarily Disable MAC address

Open the Router page using the following steps:

1. Open the browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape).
2. Access the Router (usually "http://192.168.1.1";
or "www.routerlogin.net" or "www.routerlogin.com").
3. LOGIN TO THE ROUTER (User Name = 'admin', Password = 'password';
unless you have changed it).

and then click on advanced wireless settings...

Click on setup access list..
Uncheck "TURN ACCESS CONTROL ON"

This is the process to disable MAC filtering..
In case u need further help u can contact me..

Blocking a user from internet

if you log into your router/modem you shuld be able to enable mac filtering add the mac address's you simply want to have access and they will be denied, alternatively you can turn off the dhcp so your router doesnt assign them access - either will work but i prefer the mac filtering.

ipconfig /all in a dos box will display mac address.
