Question about Computers & Internet
Sometimes with HP laptops I have seen issues with the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. It is quite a project to get to the connector but it is best described as a compression fit connector that the ribbon cable slides into.
The other issue with this model is cooling for the video card. Being compact and crammed in the laptop case the cooling fan may be clogged causing it to overheat. Check to make sure all cooling ports are clear.
The last item if it has been overheating could lead to a motherboard or video board replacement. If the unit has been overheating for some time it will cause the components to fail.
