Why doesn't Facebook remind me any more of friends' birthdays

You might have inadvertently turned it off

Facebook gives you options when it comes to displaying your birthday. You can elect to share only the month and day you were born, or also include the year. When your birthday rolls around, it shows up in the top right corner of your friends' homepages. While you cannot disable the alerts of your friends, you can control whether or not your friends are notified of your birthday. Make your birthday only visible to yourself to stop friends from getting an alert.

Click on the "Account" icon in the top right corner of any Facebook screen. Select "Privacy Settings" from the list that appears. Click on the blue "Customize Settings" link at the bottom of the "Sharing on Facebook" section. Scroll down to the "Birthday" line in the "Things I Share" section. Click on the gray icon next to "Birthday" that displays the current privacy setting by default, it is set to "Everyone." Choose "Customize" from the drop-down menu. Click on the downward arrow in the "Make This Visible to These People" line to bring up a menu. Select "Only Me" and then "Save Setting."

I never remember my friend's birthdays. Is there a bette memo that the regular noticication on facebook?

I have the same problem as you. With 'Birthday Alert' you'll never miss another Birthday! Birthday Alert sends you email alerts for upcoming birthdays. It shows you which friends have birthdays coming soon, and lets you manage email reminders to keep you up to date.

Facebook friends disappearing for no reason!

Only Facebook could tell you for definite (any they won't), so it's down what is likely to have happened.

It could be a bug, but if so, it would be extremely unusual for it not to affect a number of users, and there would be a number of reports of it. It's still possible, but unlikely.

This would then leave it to human reasons I'm afraid. If neither of you unfriended each other on purpose, then it's possible it was just an accident. Quite common on phones, when it can misinterpret a drag as a simple 'click' touch, especially if the touch screen isn't as sensitive as it once was. Facebook will often come up with warnings about this, but as a software designer I know from bitter experience most humans are conditioned always to press "yes" on any alert which comes on screen (as result of us seeing so many of them). The one exception is mainly software engineers who always click "no" (usually as alerts in software development tools mean you are about to do something catastrophic.

Cant get friends request on facebook

As far as concern with facebook, it is not a geniune problem with it. Using different browser may solve this.
Otherwise your account you need to manage for getting alerts and check if "chat option" is on or off.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
