Question about Nintendo Wii Console

2 Answers

I previously had my wii on an older tv and it worked fine. I recently purchased a new tv (Sharp Quatron Aquos) and when I hooked up my wii and same cables to the tv, my screen is now a hazy black and white screen. I still receive a clear sound. How do I make the transition to the new tv and get a color picture?

You are using composite cables(red, white, yellow) mine did the same thing. The aquos is all digital, wont read analog, which is what composite cables are.
They now make a component cable for the wii. I paid $28 at b.b.

Are you connected to the new TV using the same resolutions?
sounds like maybe the old tv you were set at a lower resolution?
try changing or adjusting the resolution on the new tv until you can see the menu more clearly or able to navigate the wii to adjust the output for the wii to match your tv's settings.

We would like to hook our new Wii to our AQUOS shart television

As long as your TV has "AV" inputs you can. There will be three plugs Yellow, white and red. Just match the colors on the cable from the Wii to the colors on the plugs. I wish the Wii had HDMI but it doesn't.

Sharp Aquos 46" HDMI problem

I have a similar problem. The Sharp TV aquos appears to be shutting down my blue ray player and dvd recorder when connected via HDMI. They work fine and never close down when I connect them via the rca cables either single video connection or a composite 3 cable rca lead. I have 3 HDMI inputs on the tv and the problem occurs on all 3. Any suggestions?
