I have a hawk 250cc Chinese dirt bike with 80 mph on the speedometer but I only can get it to 50mph what could I do to get it to 80mph

Hi, Maurice that is the average top speed of a 250cc 4 stroke engine but depending on how fat your wallet is there are a few things you can do to increase speed: 1. Adjust throttle cable so carburetor slide is completely up. 2. Experiment with larger carburetor main jets. 3. Go up 1 tooth on your front sprocket or down 2-3 on the rear. 4. Adapt/fabricate a K&N high flow air filter kit.
5. Performance camshaft if available. 6. Performance exhaust system. 7. Big bore cylinder kit. I know this is a brand X scooter but if you spend enough time on the web and know where to look by googling and visiting dirt bike forums you may not get what you want but you can always get what you need. Good luck and have a nice day.

How to set idel adjustment on 10 hp kohler motor

You need a tachometer to set the idle speed, also a specific manufacturer recommended rpm as well, so I would spend the few dollars to let a shop do it and be safe and smart.

Replacing the output shaft speed sensor - speedometer will not work?

Codes do not mean a sensor is bad or needs to be replaced

Codes could mean the sensor is doing it's job & the transaxle
has a problem.

You need to google the code & do some research on diagnosing it.

Never need a dealer for anything, unless you like spending extra money vs: a local shop

That sensor is a magnetic output sensor & it gets it's field activated
from a toothed wheel inside the trans, on one of the clutch drums,
so no programming etc.

I have a 2002 suzuki marauder 805cc. i would like to know if there is any way to get alittle more top end out of it or lower the rpm to speed ratio in general. i am considering buying a 16 tooth sprocket,...

You do not need to alter anything except the chain, increasing the tooth on the front sprocket and decreasing the tooth on the rear will give you more top end, remember more teeth longer chain required, less teeth shorter chain!!

Hi. If got a 2004 T30 v/w transporter 6 speed gearbox that lost it drive,it sounds like the driveshaft spines or the differential has broken, can you tell me if there is a common fault with the gearboxs...

The most common failure in any manual transmission is a broken tooth on one of the gears, unfortunately gear lube is very sticky and often times it will pick up a broken tooth and run that chunk back through other gears causing massive damage. I would refrain from driving it and get it fixed. Some of those gear are very expensive. I don't know that this transmission has a specific weak spot, I haven't heard anything negative about it. VW usually makes a great transmission.
