You have to call your provider and make sure that the call forward no answer and busy are set to go to voicemail. That is something programmed in the phone system by your provider. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I can look up the feature codes for when you call customer service.

It is on the Mitel. Call notes is generally a vm system provided by BellSouth. If that is the case and you do not have your own vm system, BellSouth would check the routing. If you own your own Mitel and voice mail system then the routing would be done there. I have the configuration note in front of me.
Quote: "A transfer target number is used to place callers in mailboxes. (This is the targer number you transfer to). You use call forwarding on the Mitel set to get it to that pilot number or target number. Make sure your name appears in the name field on the Superset. This is generally done from the phone. It should appear like for example:
Dave G 783 or 783 Dave G
However if the switch is Generic 1003 or higher, the extension number does not have to appear in the name field. Let me know if you need any additional help. Also, I have worked with the voice mail systems and phone systems for years. If you need help just let me know. Thanks!

I modified my first alternative routing form to the route that goes to VM and this fixed the issue. Thank you for your input.

Is this a setting on the phone itself or within the mitel. If it's within the mitel do you know the name of the form. I have a SX-2000 light.
