I installed a drawing tablet on my emachines netbook 250, after the installation the setup program asked if i wanted to restart, i said yes. It began shutting down some programs but then nothing happend so i klicked start and turn of computer. But then it emedietly restarted, loaded windows, flashed a blue screen with some text for a fraction of a second and then restarted. It keeps doing this and wont start. ANY help would be greatly appreciated since i have about 40 hours of work on the netbook that hasnt been backed up. Thanks!

This blue screen is commonly referred to as a BSOD - Blue Screen of Death. Unfortunately, if your computer is looping a BSOD your options are greatly limited and you will most likely need to do a complete wipe of your computer and start over. Getting your data before this happens though should still be possible! Assuming you've a flash drive or external drive with the necessary space, you'll need to boot your computer into Safe Mode. I'd say there's a decent chance you'll be able to get into Safe Mode without a BSOD just so you can get your files. Note that a lot of things will be disabled in Safe Mode, so chances are you won't be able to do your work in it. To do this, turn your computer off and then back on. Right as your computer turns on, hold down the F8 key. Since every computer is different it's difficult for me to describe what you'll see, but if you see anything related to Safe Mode, you want to select that.
Good luck!

Hey, thanks a lot for the help, but i still get a bluescreen even when starting in safe mode. But at least i got it to not shut down when the blue screen appears. It says that it couldnt find the "procedure start adress" GdiGetBitmapBitsSize in the DLL file GDI32.dll.
So i guess i will have to live with redoing my work. So how do i do a complete wipe and start over?

Sorry that didn't work out for you. What a bummer :/

To do a complete wipe, get your Windows disc and put it in the drive. Once you get it in the drive, chances are the computer is going to crash way before it has a chance to see what's actually on the disc, so let your computer do its thing and reboot. Once your computer is trying to boot again, press F8 to get back into the boot menu and boot from the disc. Once you're in your Windows setup, you'll need to delete the partition your current install is on and then install to the new empty partition. If you have any questions about this process don't hesitate to ask.

My laptop is to small to have a CD drive, but i found a way to reset it. I even had the option to back up my files upon reset, unfortunetly it said that there wasnt enough disk space to back up the files. So its back to doing a complete reset i guess. But once again thanks for all the help, even though it didnt turn out like id hoped at least ill get my laptop back to working condition, hopefully.

There are a couple of things that you can try. First, unplug the power cord and take out the battery. After you have done that, hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds. Put the battery back in and turn the laptop on.
If that doesn't work, turn the computer on and repeatedly press F8. A menu should show up where you can choose to boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode, uninstall the software you installed and try rebooting your computer.
One of those methods should get your computer working again.

But I installed Windows 8 recently in my computer, and I found out that Windows 8 let me install my very loved program MICROGRAFX DRAW 5.
And it is running as it should be. really nice. I am really happy for it. I kicked windows 7 out.
As soon as Windows 8 received the installation command; it told me that a 16bit program needs a compatibility. Then it asked me if I want to have that.
I clicked YES; and Windows 8 did all the work. The program got installed seamless in seconds; with all the features.

Printing from netbook

Use a desktop computer to copy the contents of the bundled printer CD-ROM to a thumb drive. If a second computer with a CD-ROM drive is not available, go to your printer manufacturer's website and download the appropriate drivers to your netbook's hard drive. Specific instructions may vary depending on your manufacturer, so read and follow instructions provided on the website. Insert the thumb drive into your netbook. If you downloaded the drivers instead, follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation. Open the file browser and click on the USB drive. Click on "Install" or "Setup." Follow the on-screen instructions for driver and software installation. Connect your printer to your netbook using a USB cord. Some software setups will automatically recognize the printer and launch a setup wizard. If a setup wizard does not start automatically, on your task bar choose "Start" and then "Printers and Faxes." In the window that opens, double click on "Add Printer." Click "Next" in the printer wizard window. A new frame appears asking you for the type of printer that you would like to initialize. Choose "Local Printer" and click next if your printer is connect through the USB port. Choose "Network Printer" if you want to use a printer installed on your network. Click "Next." Click the name of the printer you are using in the list. Click "OK" Choose "Yes" when prompted to choose whether or not you want to use the printer as your default printer. Click "Next." Click "Finish." Hope it helps.

How can i install my windows home edition software if the operating system is linux?

You will have to backup all data you want to keep, (on a usb stick or external harddisk) and then insert the WIndows disk.
Then restart the PC, and press [enter] when the computer asks whether you want to boot from disk. Follow the setup, and WIndows should be installed just fine!

If you have any questions, please ask them.

My Genius Gpen 4500 has shown no Pressure recognition on Photoshop, Painter and the wizard.

Hello. I'm not quite sure if this will be useful for you, but i'll tell you what happened to me. I bought the very same model but without the mouse, the G-pen450. When I just bought it, I just intalled the driver from the CD, and both the painter X and photoshop cs1 trials included. I had no problem when I was drawing in photosho cs1, but when I uninstalled it and and installed photoshop cs2, I was still able to draw with the pen, but it had no pressure sensibility, no matter how hard did I press the pen against the table or how many times i enabled or disabled the pressure settings in both photoshop and the tablet driver.

what i did was downloading the new driver (the 2.0 version) for the g-pen450 from the genius page, and simply installed it ... and it didn't work, worse; now even the pen suite didn't recongize the pressure control, so, what I did was to uninstall the WHOLE software included with the table along with the driver, and then I reinstalled the new version (2.0). After I installed it, the instaling program asked me to restart the computer, so I did it. Then, after the computer was done restarting, I connected the tablet to a USB port, and then the computer recognized it, actually it told me that it recognized the tablet, two HID compatible dispossitives, and a HID compatible mouse pen. It opened that window that appears everytime you connect new hardware to the computer, and it proceeded to "install" all the drivers needed for the dispossitives.

After the computer finished installing, it asked again to restart the PC, soooo I restarted it again, when it was done, I connected the tablet once again, and this time it displayed that "your new hardware is installed and ready to use" balloon on the bottom right corner of the screen. So I tried opening photoshop CS2 again and drawing with the tablet, and this time it did work perfectly.

I think it's matter of uninstalling the old driver, and the bundle software (annotate all, pen commander, pen mail, pen signer, etc. ) and then instaling the 2.0 version of the driver.
