SOURCE: TV gets stuck on channel, won't advance past channel 7.1

Background:
I'm assuming you have Cablevision. This is becoming a known problem with their broadcasting system. They have been upgrading since last thursday and it has been causing the Sharp TVs to freeze up on channel 7.1. There have been reports of channel 21, 21.1, and 24 as well.

Simple way to fix it:
1. Unplug tv
2. Unplug coax from tv
3. Plug tv back in
4. In the Menu go to Setup > CH setup > CH Memory > Cable (digital)
5. Enable channel skip for channel 7.1
6. Push Menu to exit
7. Change to any other channel
8. Reconnect coax to tv.

Followup:
Avoid channel 7.1 and go give Cablevision a call and let them know about it. They won't do anything to fix it until they get a certain number of reported issues about the problem. Enjoy.

SOURCE: no tv signal on my olevia 232-s12

cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..

SOURCE: no signal onthe screen

If you are connected to a high definition cable box or satellite tv box you would not need to turn to channel 3 on your television. The television would need to be in the right input either component or hdmi. If someone connected the tv to the cable box or satellite tv box with a coax cable like an antenna cable then the tv channels will be available on channel 3 as well but they will not display in high definition. You change channels with the cable box/satellite tv box remote control. If the above is not correct and you are only connected to an antenna cable and not to a cable box or satellite tv box you will need to complete a channel search from the tv menu. It sounds like you are using a cable box/satellite tv box and that the tv is on the wrong input. If the cable box/satellite tv box is not working (i.e. just a black screen) on your television than that is a different matter entirely.

No signal....stuck on ch 1

Your TV will only do what it has been told to do.
If it has never been programmed for cable, it is doing just what it has been told. NOTHING. Or if someone did auto program the TV without the cable connected, it went all the way through the channels and remembered only those that were there. NONE
With the cable connected, go to TUNE A CHANNEL, and AUTOPROGRAM. (you may have to choose AIR / CABLE before it will AUTO PROGRAM)
Do not stop it or interrupt it until it is finished.

CANNOT GET PHILIPS DVDR3305 TO RECORD ON PANASONIC TV.TX-L37D25B WHILE WATCHING ANOTHER CHANNEL?.

What is your source? Since the DVDR3305 has an analog PAL tuner and most TV stations are broadcasting in digital, you probably have some sort of set top box connected to the recorder. If you change the channel on the set top box, you will record the program on the new channel. If you are recording PAL and your TV has a PAL tuner, you should be able to just record one show while watching another with the DVDR3305 daisy-chained to the TV. Just make sure to change the TV channel not the channel on the DVDR3305.

If your TV has a digital tuner, you can split the signal before the set-top box to record one channel and watch another. (Note: basic splitters will cause some extra loss of signal and may reduce a digital signal below the threshold needed to tune in the signal. An amplified splitter can avoid this - when the amplifier is working properly.) Otherwise, you need a second set-top box (or a dual tuner set-top box).

On my set-up with an aerial antenna, I would put the splitter between the wall jack and the electronics. The incoming cable goes to the splitter, then cable 1 goes to the TV. Cable 2 goes to the set-top box. Tune the set-top box to the channel to record and check the settings with the TV set to the DVD source. (DVD set to record on Tuner (and the specific channel of the set-top box output) or front s-video or EXT1 or EXT2.) Then change the TV back to the TV source and change to the channel for the second program.

The manual for the DVDR3305 is available from Philips. The link to the manual is http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/d/dvdr3305_05/dvdr3305_05_dfu_eng.pdf .
I hope this helps.

(I actually use an A/B switch and do not try to watch a second program on the TV connected to the DVD recorder. However, most of my recordings are for time-shifting of programs that air when I can't watch any TV program.)

I'm trying to set up the TV channels for the View Sonic 2750. I'm unable to program channels 3 & 4 to allow the cable converter box to work. The cable channels start at 181 and stop at 90 the air...

try using the number keys on control an manually program numbers in that way, if you select auto tune, it will only try to program any channel it gets signal for, once you type the numbers in that way, it should ask you to save that channel number, in which of course you select yes... try that, also refer to owner manual or mfg website.

17 in. trutech tv unable to get channels except 2-13

For channel setup you will need to;
1) Connect the signal source to the back of the set.(Antenna or Cable)
2) Go into the TV Menu and select the same signal source you connected to the back.(Antenna or Cable)
3) Go to the auto program/scan menu and run it. This may take a few minutes.

Now the channels may be watched.
