The information you'll need is set up in your wireless route. Connect your PC to your router using a network cable, and surf to the router's IP-address to visit your modem interface and take a look at the modem settings. You can find this address in Windows by opening the Command Prompt (it's under Accessoires, which is under Programs) and typing in "ipconfig", then hitting Enter. The address you're looking for is displayed next to "default gateway".

I need to get some info on how to get my ssid# off my wireless router please

You will need to log into the routing and check the box "Enable Hidden Wireless" on the Wireless Settings page.

To log into the router:
Open a web browser and enter and press Enter. When the login window appears, set the user name to admin and leave the password box empty. Click OK to continue. (this is assuming you have not changed the username and password)

Do i need a user name and password to use the wireless modems

All you need is wireless network name which is usually name of the router brand or default unless some one has put on encryption in that case you need both. If you cant find out what info you need just reset router to factory settings by pressing reset button for 20-30 seconds and this will erase all the info saved in the router settings and bring it to defaults.

Netgear WGR814v2 does not see my ASUS 1005HA-P netbook, but the netbook sees the the Netgear wireless network but cannot connect .

To connect into your own Netgear router, you need to configure the wireless card with your router's wireless configuration settings, eg.the SSID and encryption settings. Check your router manual on how to configure the router or go to the Netgear WEB site to download this info.
To configure the Netgear router for wireless you need to connect a LAN cable from the laptop to the router and run your browser with the configuration IP address. for Netgear type the URL address ;-
the login = admin PW = password
Then configure the SSID and encryption, record this info so you can configure the wireless card with the same settings.

You can also connect to the Internet by using a LAN cable and plug it into the Netgear router without a wireless connection.

Amlio li 2727 notebook adding to wireless network

find out first if your comp is wireless capable, then if it is, see if your wireless network is locked. for what ever wireless you are using you can go to the website and see if there is a way to get your passkey info. once you have that info then you should be able to add you comp. however if your comp isnt wireless capable then you will net a wireless card, pref. the same name as your wireless router.

My Dell does not recognize my wireless connection.

First of all make sure your dell "sees the wireless network, if it does - go back to your router program, write down all pertinant info needed for the dell under wireless network connections; SSID, encryption password, type of encryption, etc. fill in the info you wrote down. That should fix it.
