Setting time and getting numbers to work

I have same problem as posted on this site. My Emerson microwave will not let me set time. Also, my number pad doesn't work anymore. How can I reset the control panel? Where is it?

I forgot how to set the time. I had to do it once before and can't remember. Emerson MW8107WAC

None of the answers helps me. The microwave is only 4yrs old and used only for three months in the summertime. When we first arrived this summer, I forgot how to set the time. Then I just pushed the numbers and it worked. Last night we had a power failure and lost the time again but the machine still works. Can you tell the actual method for SETTING the time?

Is your microwave a portable model so that you have access to the power cord? If it is, unplug the cord and leave it off for a few minutes. Then replug and it may reset. This seems such a simple solution, however, sometimes a simple solution is the answer. If your microwave doesn;t respond, I would consider the age and condition of it and consider replacement. Repair can be expensive and the price on these appliances is now quite reasonable. Good luck to you.

I believe that your control board is bad, and will need replacement. This part would probably be to costly versus a new unit. Only a warranty replacement would I advise a fix.

    Touch the clock pad.

Enter the time (like 1234 for 12:34)

    Touch the clock button again!

This is on page 12 of the manual....Good luck!

I have never used the power feature and now I need to and cant find manual. How does the power feature work. I need to operate the microwave on medium power for one minute.

1 Use the number buttons to set a cooking
time. You can set a time from one second to
99 minutes, 99 seconds. To set a time over
one minute, enter the seconds too. For
example, to set 20 minutes, enter 2, 0, 0, 0 .
2 If you want to set the power level to
something other than High, press the Power
Level button, then use the number buttons
to enter a power level.
Power Levels:
Level Cooking PL
1Warm10
2Low20
3 Defrost 30
4Medium Low40
5Medium50
6 Simmer 60
7 Medium High 70
8 Reheat 80
9 Saute 90
10 High Hi

Hope that helps.

I have an Emerson Microwave Oven MW8997W and cannot change the hour (time) on my clock. How do I change the clock? Debbie

If your keys do not work at all, you probably have a bad keypad, in which case I'd ask you to reply back. In the meantime:

SETTING THE CLOCK

When the microwave oven is plugged into an outlet,
the oven will display " 0:00 "

1. Press the CLOCK button; the hour digit will blink
and the clock indicator will light.

2. Press the number keys to set current hour.

3. Press the number keys to set current minute.

4. Press AM/PM to choose AM or PM.

5. Press the CLOCK button again; the display will
show the present time. After the clock has been set,
the time will appear with blinking colon, unless
the oven is cooking or defrosting.

You can actually download your owner's manual here

Don't understand how to set the power levels

Is your full model number MW8675? If not, please post your full model and let me try again.

Normally you press Time (or Time Cook) then the digits of the time, then Power, then a number from 1 to 9 (which stands for 10% to 90% power level), then Start.

On some models you just press the digits of the time, then Power, then a number from 1 to 9 then Start.

Many Emerson microwave manuals are available for free download here: http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/MWO%20manual/

If your is not there, try one with a number close to yours.
