Question about Frigidaire FEX831CS Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer
My washer fills properly, but won't agitate or spin. I tried to turn the agitator by hand, and it will only turn approx 1 inch either direction, like a locked steering wheel does. Water drains at right time, rinse cycle runs at right time, just no agitation or spin cycle. I purchased it in 1998, but it could have been 1997...it came new in a home that I purchased in 1998. Please describe the specifics of your problem below. We'll add your post as a comment to nitanita's Washer won't agitate or spin problem, and notify you when a new solution is offered. It will fill up okay. The timing is okay. But when it comes to the wash cycle, the tub won't agitate. It would just squeak, the center screw cap where the tub connects to the washer, is agitating. No problem draining. Is it fixable or do I new to buy a new one. The dryer works. Thanks...
The transmission is dead!
It's not worth fixing!
If it's 10 years old or more, better off replacing it with a newer machine which will be much more efficient!
Not worth the money to fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
