Question about Stainless Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I was moving a stainless steel range and the plastic liner of my truck rubbed shiney spots on the front of the oven door. Is there any way to get the finish back to the nonshiney finish?

My husband rubbed it with turpintine and then lightly rubbed the areas with a toothbrush sized wire brush. You can't tell where the shiney areas were, and they were all over the surface of the range.

Open the door and look at the very bottom, front of range. If yours have a drawer it will be located behind the drawer right under the bake door, on the oven frame.

Ge wall oven door will not open

If you can not open this door, then the problem probably is that you stopped the clean cycle before it was finished. Restart the cycle, and set it at the minimum of 3 hours, and then when it is finished, it will release the latch that locks the door. I had this problem last night, and after the cycle was finished, the door latch was released. Hope this helps.
