The user's guide doesn't tell me if there is a recovery parition in the HDD I can use to restore my work back to factory default settings. I mean Dell, Hewlett Packard, Acer, and even Gateway all have them, why not Toshibas.

Hi joshpop1920,
"Go to this "Website!"
"Download the Manual!"
In the "Manual: search for the {Chapter} "System Restore."
It will explain the: [Recovery Process].

!Important: "Take a 'moment to rate the help', so I can get 'credit' for the work.

Thank you!" - paul7of9

Now this is where I am having trouble. All I get is Windows Startup repair, Windows Restore, Windows Complete PC Restore (doesn't work), Memory Diagnostic Tool, Toshiba Recovery Wizard (keeps telling me to insert my recovery CDs), and Command Prompt tool. Probably left out another minor one, but that is all I get after going to Repair Your Computer. And what I am failing to understand is that. I have 2 120 GB hard drives. Each one only allows me access to 110 GBs. Where is the other 10 on each one? I mean I was goofing around, and it said that to restore I needed to use the C Drive, D drive, E drive, or F drive. But it only registered the C as the one in the recovery slot. The F drive has never appeared before, and only did when I went here. But it said Toshiba and can't remember the rest. When I log in normally, it doesn't appear, and no where in the User's Guide does it mention it. What the heck is it?

This 'comment' is for FixYa! So my understanding is; -10 is {subtracted} for "Not Helpful: Solutions!" But! When the "Solution is Very Helpful! = 5 or < LESS!" ? Is this "Correct"!? I have another ?Question? Do a number between a (100 to 1000) people respond quicker, and more to "Solution that do not help!" In comparison to the "Solutons that do?"

Memory problem:

Sometimes when the computer is moved or over time a memory stick can become loose causing the computer to be unable to read the memory or get errors as it's reading it. Try fixing this issue by opening the computer removing each of the memory sticks you have in the computer and then placing them back into the computer.

If you have more than one stick of memory try removing all but one stick of memory and boot the computer. If this does not resolve the issue try removing that stick of memory and try one of the other sticks of memory.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

If you haven't any mistakes with the connection, you're going to do a deep research. Your only solution will be from the Bios Settings. This issue is very common for Laptop users; it'll take time but I'll try my best to assist you step by step. I will also suggest you to make print out if you're gonna do it on the same computer you are using right now. I think when the tree beeps is on ..the blame is on the video card ..so unless you changed the video card as well you just made a wrong move ..The part that should be changed is either teh video card or the ram memory ..cause they are the only one that causes beeping when something is wrong ..So check the card it may be just not plugged well ..and the ram memory as well ..Unplug them ..and use them one by one and boot up and see how it behaves..Even if it is not enough ram in it for to run the operation system ..it should at least show the devices and the logo screen ..

Toshiba x205 Sli1 suddenly died. Got 3 beeps.

3 beeps usually means that either the chipset or the processor is dead. Nothing you can do, take it to a repair shop.
