You might have to install the drivers for the actual video card. Try installing the cd's it came it and see if it works then.

Check video cable

That's because the monitor is no longer sensed. Try removing the video cable from the monitor, then gently but firmly put it back in place. Tighten the nuts securely, but not so hard that you would need a tool to remove it. If the problem is still there, do the same thing where the cable attaches to the back of the computer. If that doesn't work, the problem is most likely with the video card. If you know how to do it and have a spare video card, you could try swapping it to see if the problem goes away, but at this point it's probably time for a visit to the repair shop.
Good luck!

Need HP Pavillion a6120n recovery discs

Check in your users manual as a recovery partition usually exists hidden on the hard drive. You should be able to use this to either create recovery discs or to restore directly from the hidden partition. But you do need HP instructions on how to make this happen correctly. I suggest you visit the HP website, select technical support as a destination. From there you will be asked for your computer model number and offered a number of options that should make things easier.
Good Luck!

Added a ge force 8400 gs pci grfx card to hp a6120n monitor

Alright, let's give this a shot. Your system can handle it as the card only needs 71W of power.

Right-click your desktop and go to properties.

Screenshot.

Afterward select the tab at the top reading, "Settings."

Screenshot.

Now select your new video card in the, "Display" region and choose the device to be your, "Primary Monitor."

Screenshot.

Afterward try plugging the monitor into your new graphics card. It should work just fine.

HP no internet.

the A6120N is the big brother to my little 3120N which I love dearly and that means you have Vista installed on the computer. If you are connected to the internet, it also means you have the little blue ballons down on system tray sitting over your network connection icon. Am I correct so far???
