You must keep the batteries out for a few minutes and unplugged then re plug to a new usb port. hit the connect/ reset button on reciever alone with batteries still out of remote then put the new batteries in (lights come on remote you know you have good batteries) and then hit connect on that. that should work if not you must hit connect at the exact same time. thats how i fixed mine.

there wireless but do they have a dongle that connects via usb to the computer that they connect to wirelessly ?

  • night_fire_0 Mar 15, 2011

no, it is literally just the computer screen, keyboard and mouse

  • brian shevack Mar 15, 2011

ok do this press the button on the bottom of the mouse and keyboard they are there that will recconnect them unless the batteries are dead. just tested this out @ bestbuy for you lol

  • night_fire_0 Mar 15, 2011

that is the problem I have tried to reconnect them via the "connect" buttons at the bottom of the keyboard and mouse. I've pressed both of them down simultaneously for three seconds, I've done this a fair bit, but nothing is working. The light is on, on the underside of the mouse but nothing is happening. I have replaced the batteries, but that didn't work either. I have checked the mouse and keyboard on the computer using my tablet to see if the computer said they weren't responding, but the computer said that they were working, and that I have the most up to date I am kind of stumped right now, lol.

  • brian shevack Mar 15, 2011

dont press them at the same time. reboot the computer take out the batteries. turn on the computer. but in batteries to mouse first connect it. if that works then do the keyboard.

  • night_fire_0 Mar 15, 2011

I tried your suggestion. That didn't work either.

What is the make of your keyboard and mouse? As far as I know there has to be some sort of receiver(USB connected) to the tower to read signal from the witeless components. Is this a new item and did you get an installation cd with it?

  • brian shevack Mar 15, 2011

one last thing i called them up on your behalf and they said you may have to plug in a wired mouse and re-install the drivers from there website for the wireless mouse and keyboard connection but they really reccommend unplugging the pc for a few minutes then during boot up press both buttons at the same time and press them at the same time again after boot up. they also said if you have a wired mouse plug it and then try and connect the two wireless ones. let me know i been researching this for hours now for you if it doesnt work i am truely sorry if you could find it in the kindness of your heart to give me a nice review by click my name bc i really tried i would appreciate it.

The antenna that you found is purely for the Wireless LAN. The Keyboard and Mouse are already paired with the bluetooth receiver. This is "HIDDEN" in the mouse battery compartment. But not where you'll see it... it is in the LID of the compartment.

Lights are on but mouse doesn,t work.Inland wireless mouse and keybord. Keyboard works great.

Check with fresh batteries.. Did you sync the mouse with transciever? Push tiny button on transceiver, (maybe hold for few seconds) light flashes quickly.. then push tiny button under the mouse, light stops flashing. Try few times, maybe otherway round. If still not work consider defective.

Mouse works but keyboard does not.

Ironically, when I replaced my dead HP Pavilion, on which I had the same wireless keyboard and mouse, things worked in the reverse but opposite method. The mouse doesn't work, but the keyboard does.

I suspect it is directly related to the config buttons on the bottom of each part. The buttons were supposed to sync such that the keyboard and mouse worked together perfectly and did, until I had to replace the PC.

My only suggestion is to continue to press those little buttons repeatedly, until they finally do sync all the way around. And most important, ensure that your mouse and keyboard have fresh batteries at all times, as that would make the whole process fail in the most embarrassing way.

Good luck,

Locked wireless keyboard,sony vaio media centre.How do i unlock/reset?

There is a reset button on the underside of the keyboard, one on the receiver, one on the mouse if you have one.

I'm not familiar with you make of keyboard but the sequence is prettyy easy to work out.

Start by numbering each device eg Keyboard=1 Receiver=2 mouse=3.

There are only 6 combinations so go thriugh them one by one until you have everything connected and make a note of the sequence for future reference.

Mouse not operable

I would suggest that having both receiver and mouse already syncronised, take battery off, look for a tiny thin button that protrudes where the receiver is placed at the bottom of mouse, hold it pressed down and release it simultaneously after putting back a new and fresh battery, this might make work cursor properly.
Good luck!!!

Check the batteries first to ensure they are good. Do you have a receiver and is it plugged into the USB port?
You probably already know how to reset/connect the Keyboard and Mouse.
But here is info to help if you are not sure how to do it.

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

Try changing with a new set of batteries. also try to reset the connection of the wireless mouse and keyboard. you can locate a connect button on both the reciever and wireless keyboard. press both of them together and release them. this would reset the connection. try doing the same for reciever and wireless mouse connect buttons. this should work. also check for any possible alignment issues.
