Hello, Assuming the washer doesn't keep filling to the point it is overflowing the tub, it sounds like you have a bad lid switch. If it is overflowing then you may need a pressure switch or more likely the pressure switch tube (surgical tube) is just clogged where it connects to the outer tub. You can go to - http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action - Type in your model number then select model search. You can get part breakdown and buy parts for most brands. Good Luck.
