Question about Watches

I have just recently purchased the small battery operated Westclox Atomic Clock (Model # 70026) and it up-dated it's self how ever it has set the year 2001 and not 2010. I am frustrated trying to get the right buttons pressed to allow me to up-date the year properly....any ideas which of the 5 buttons I need to hold and which ones move up the year?? Buttons are: Alarm/on/off; ZONE; Mode/set; "C/F"/UP; WAVE/DOWN

There is no removable face plate...I just hit "reset" button will wait another day to see what happens. There is way to set the year, but when I get to the blinking year mode and try to press the up/down button to change the year it reverts back to full screen. Anyone else familiar with this Westclox Model 70026 unit??

The year is supposed to automatically update as well, and is not manually adjusted, but you have to wait over night for this to happen.
The main things you adjust are time zone and alarm.
However, if there is an opening faceplate, they tend to print a copy of the instructions inside it.

I am having some difficulty finding that model number, and is it Westclox or Westclock?
Anyway, here is a site with instructions for nearly every atomic clock made.

Clock is 2 hours ahead of actual cst time

If you have an atomic clock/watch that is not showing the right time, you could have one or two separate problems. First, the clock may not be set for the correct time zone. Second, the clock may have a manual switch to adjust the time for daylight savings time. Each of these problems can make your clock display the incorrect hour of the time, especially after you change the batteries and your clock "forgets" some or all of its prior settings.
Check the back of your clock to see if there is a button or switch to set the correct time zone. If your clock appears to be set to your time zone, change the switch to another time zone and see whether the clock moves forward/backward to adjust. Once it has finished adjusting to the new time zone, adjust the clock back to your time zone to see whether it will now correctly reset to display the time.
I have seen atomic clocks that have manual adjustments for these settings as well as ones that adjust automatically other than the time zone. If you provide the manufacturer and model number of your clock, we should be able to provide more detailed instructions.

I have a Westclox, Calander Model 70026. I have set the clock several times to the correct time,(with the time zone at the proper setting) but, after a day or so, the hour reading, reverts back...

It's most likely because of Daylight Saving Time. Your clock receives a signal through the air once a day from the actual atomic clock, much like a cell phone receives the time from your cell phone service provider, and it automatically resets itself to the exact time each time it receives this signal. Remember that the middle of the year (the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November in the US) is Daylight Saving Time for much of the United States. The clock has an option that allows you to set whether you are observing Daylight Saving Time or not. If this is set to "off", the time will be one hour behind until Daylight Saving Time ends (November 7th). Make sure this is set properly, and your problem will be solved.

Westclox model LTX271 instructions for setting day

mcdevito75 here, The stem on your westclox has 2 positions, First pull the stem out to set the time of day, keep cycleing the watch until you come to 1 day before the day you want. NOW! push the stem back in. NOW! slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently, gently kift the crown to it"s first position, it may take a little practice so be patient, once in it's first position you can change the DATE easily, change the DATE to 1 DATE before the DA you want, push the syem back in and pull the stem back out and set the day/date and time of day. Your watch is set and will change on time a little past mid nite.

I have a Westclox battery operated wall clock with chicken on face. The battery is new. The second hand tries to move but just "clicks" How can I fix this?

Sounds like it is just worn out.
Sometimes you can replace the generic clock works in these type of clocks. Go online and do a search for battery powered clock works, and see if you can match yours. They are removed quite easily after popping off the clock hands, and removing a nut under the hands that holds the clock works in the chicken.
Here's a link to a site that sells the clock movements... http://www.clockworks.com/
