Did you use the VGA cable? If so did you also use an audio lead?

I have a 32" LG

Hello Undernet01,

Yes, it's very simple. Connect the computer speakers to the headphone socket on the TV, then run a separate audio cable from the PC to the TV. A PC monitor cable wont carry an audio signal so you need to connect an RCA type cable or similar - depending on whether you have corresponding audio OUT sockets on the PC and audio IN sockets on the TV.

You will then have sound from both the PS3, the PC, and the TV on the computer speakers. The TV speakers will automatically switch off when something is plugged into the headphone socket.

Simples as pies.

Connected laptop to tv, but sound only come from laptop. How can I make the sound come out from tv?

If your laptop has a HDMI output, and your TV has a HDMI input, then use a HDMI-to-HDMI cable, which carries both "audio" and "video" signals.

Otherwise, you need a cable from the "headphone" output from your PC into the "RCA" stereo-audio inputs into your TV.

I'm using the tv as a monitor for my pc. How come I can't get my headphones for my pc to work when plugged into the back of the tv?

This is because the cable you are using to connect your PC to your TV does not carry a sound signal, only picture. To play sound you will need to connect a pair of external speakers to your PC, or if you want to listen on headphones, connect the headphones to the PC instead of the TV.

How do i connect my adventt9101 to my sony lcd tv, i want to use hdmi leads but i dont think my pc has hdmi port? any help

If you don't have an HDMI connection on your computer, then you will need to get a VGA cable. There should be a VGA connection on your tv. Just disconnect the monitor on your computer and connect the VGA cable from the computer monitor port to the VGA port on the tv. You may have to set the tv for PC or Aux input. You won't have high definition or sound to the tv with a VGA cable though. The sound will still come through your PC speakers.

I have a samsung nc10 netbook which when i connect to my samsung tv the sound still comes out of the computer

Your system, is it the one you use for watching TV or you have your TV somewhere else that when you On it, it sound from your system.
OR
if you are saying you connect your system to your Tv then the sound comes out from the computer then is because you connect it as an AUX IN which means Auxilliary IN. what you will have to do is that the White and RED cable that enter the TV removed the White which serves as the sound and leave the red or yellow as the video cable that enter the TV and give the TV volume from the TV if that solve the problem ok

The connection to your tv is video only. You should hear sound coming from computer speakers. Unplug them and hook your stereo to that plug in.
