SOURCE: I HAD A PAYPAL ACCT OVER 6 MONTHS AGO.I AM UNABLE

I had similar situation, just get customer support they can find it faster then you.
Also i would start out as a new paypal customer by having them delete that account and just make a new one with in that 24 hrs.. So that you can start out fresh and know that this will be your only account, reason you probably made a account before but don't remember that you did and used a different email address or lost password.
I had to do the same thing because it was conflicting with my bank and for 5 months i was doing what you are now looking because you did not want to contact customer support and then i called fixed with in 2 mins and was easy to fix after.

SOURCE: how to set up my

You don't actually have to transfer money into your Paypal account from your regular bank account in order to pay with Paypal.

Just make sure that your linked bank account is confirmed as your PRIMARY FUNDING SOURCE in your Paypal account PROFILE SETTINGS.

Then whenever you make a purchase using your Paypal account, the necessary funds will be drawn directly from your regular bank account automatically by Paypal.

If you already have some money in your Paypal account, then Paypal will automatically use that money first, then take out whatever remaining balance is necessary from your Primary Funding Source bank account or credit card.

So in short, you don't have to worry about putting money into your Payypal account in order to make a purchase. Just make sure you have enough of a balance in your bank account or credit card to cover it and the money will be transfered automatically by Paypal, as long as that account or credit card is set as your Paypal Primary Funding Source in your Paypal account profile settings.

Good luck.

How do I cancel my PayPal account

If you close your PayPal account, it can't be reopened. Any scheduled or incomplete transactions are canceled. You can't close your account if there are limitations, unresolved issues, or a balance.

To close your account:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
  3. Click My settings.
  4. Click Close Account in the Account type section and follow the steps listed.

Rjsevin7@aol.com I would like to know why my account was overdrawn ,when there wasn't enough money in my account? I't should have gone to my Amex account. Now my Bank account is overdrawn. I'm being...

If you want your payments for purchases to be withdrawn from your AMEX card, then you must go into your PayPal account settings and make it your PRIMARY FUNDING SOURCE.

In order to change the Primary Funding Source for your account, do the following:

Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Profile near the top of the page.
Click Credit Card under Financial Information.
Select the card to update (AMEX) and click Make Primary.

Thank you and good luck.

Mwhen setting my account info comes to method of payment, i click pay pal then window appears after login asking for credit card and wont let me continue without one. why?

If you are setting up a new Paypal account you'll need to establish a payment account. This will take some time because Paypal has to notify the card # or bank account you listed to verify your record. Paypal used to make a deposit of a few cents into the account. Once verified Paypal will debit the listed account to make payments for you.
If your account is already verified there is a "contact us" listing on the paypal site. They have responded promptly in the past.

A long time ago i set up a PayPal account and never used it, because I did not know how. Now I would like to try it but can not remember how or what name and password I set it up under. How can I start...

Hi,

Your Paypal account id is usually your e-mail address with which you registered your Paypal account. So, enter the email id and Paypal password in the login box or if you have forgotten the password, click on "Forgot your Password" link on the https://www.paypal.com page. You will then receive an email from Paypal with instructions to reset the password.

If you want to create a new account, click on the "Sign Up" link on https://www.paypal.com/ and select the account type and provide your details on the pages which open.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa
