Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
There is no easy fix for this, even when taking apart your console. I highly recommend against doing that if you are still in warranty. And since you can use the PS3 controller for all the functions of the on/off button as well as the eject button, I recommend just leaving it. When the PS3 is off, hit the PS button on the controller (The middle black one) to turn it on, when you want to turn it off, hold down the same button until a menu appears. Simply navigate to the turn off system option and you're set.
