I dont know if this is the same case as what mines was but last night i was downloading a game and every time i said start it said invalid descriptor. (null) I was then moving files about that night and i noticed a Java file in other files. I tried selected it and it downloaded my game. I have noticed that this phones saving system is vary disorganized but i hope my advice works

the jar you are opening is actually not compatible with your phone that is why.. one thing you can do is upload it to a website and download it using your phone browser by then you may try to install it..
DOWNLOAD THE CAB FORMAT FROM http://www.pocketpcfreeware.net or when u open ur internet then u will open http://mobile.htc.com, then u saw applications then u will click on cab format. download any file, then cab format comes in ur phone & u will easily open ur rar or zip files. thanks alot, sanjeev suri
Unfortunately it will then block you when you try downloading on your phone. So when it appears click options then 'start' to start any download. If you still get an error message as 'Invalid descriptor', then you should install 'LG PC Suite' on your PC (Url: http://www.software112.com/products/lg-pc-suite+download.html), connect PC and phone through USB or bluetooth, then download the file in .jar format on your PC, then upload it to your phone through PC suite under 'Manage files'. You can then install the jar file directly when you select it in 'Your Stuff' on your LG Viewty.
google Esmertec Jbed download, this is Java for Windows Mobile, make sure the Jar or Jad for opera is in the phone somewhere after installing Java, then open java>menu>install>local files find opera and install
a jar file is a compress application file that your phone is showing as an invalid file. Try downloading it to you computer and putting it on from there. also check your phone and open the file on your phone if you see it in the memory. it may just be throwing an error and the file is there.
Originally, Windows Mobile is not compatible with java files (.jar/.jad). But IBM has a software for Windows Mobile users that solves this issue. (An emulator called WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment)
1) Go to the downloads section for WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment 2) Depending on your version of Windows Mobile 5, download the installer (ibm-weme- wm50-arm.xxxxx.exe): CLDC 1.1/MIDP 2.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition/ARM CLDC 1.1/MIDP 2.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0/ARM CLDC 1.1/MIDP 2.0 VGA (Hi-Res) for Windows Mobile 5.0/ARM 3) Extract and then copy the folders [bin, lib and examples] extracted from weme-wm50-arm-midp20_184.108.40.20660727-102926.zip to a folder in the root of your mobile device 4) On the mobile device, run the emulator exe from the Bin folder and give the direct path of the Jar or Jad file (whether local or on a website) 5) After the Midlet is installed, tap on the Midlet to run it You should be able to run any Java based Application/Game on your Windows mobile device
