please have a look at the top row of keys on your keyboard hopefully one of them should have what looks like squares or rectangles on it
if you press the FN+that key with the squares/rectangles on it a few times this should
enable/disable the touchpad
hope this has helped
if not go to device manager
scroll down to mouse/pointing devices
un install it and restart
then hopefully windows will find new hardware on startup
and re install it working correctly for you
