Question about Computers & Internet
If I am not wrong, you might be saving the file in another non-default format, i.e other than "ODF" format. When a document is to be saved, maybe as "Text Document" or "Drawing" etc.. you have to select the recommend "ODF" format.
Open or edit a text document, click "File" and then "Save As" and make sure "ODF Text Document(.odt)" is selected in the "Save as type" box. If it's a drawing, the recommended format is "ODF Drawing (.odg)" and if it's Spreadsheet "ODF Spreadsheet (.ods)" and so on. Check both the "Automatic File Extension" and "Save with Password" and then click "Save" Once you click the "Save" button on the Save As dialog box, you'll be presented with the password boxes. Enter your password two times in the boxes provided and click "Ok". Now close the document and re-open it from the folder where you just saved it.
Hope this helps.
