Hi,

There are couple of things you need to do. First try to play that burnt dvd in some other players. If its working then its for sure that the dvd is good else you would understand that its not the player issue .

Next if its an issue with the player you need to update the firmware of the drive. You will not be able to do this and can be done only at service center.

Let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks

Re DVDR pot tweak: 2 potentiometers on my Samsung DVD-R150 are labelled 'VR20High' & 'VR19Low', can anyone tell me 1 which is the DVD pot and 2 whether to turn the screw clockwise or anticlockwise?

if you have moved them needs an ohmn meter or osilloscope
they both a very narrow range so cant do much wrong by tweeking

i cant find anywhere to buy those two pentimeters in 2017

they could be dust effected
note where they are positioned
put both in the middle position and gently move them back and forth
then back to original position

RECORD DVD WILL not play on other dvd plays

There is a possibility that the DVD was not burnt to be compatible with other players. Or the player you are trying to play it on does not play burnt DVDs.

Doesn't read my DVD's burnt off my mac anymore

r u sure the format for your DVD that u burnt from MAC is same as DVD that usually can play in DVD player?try to compare your burnt ne with ordinary DVD that can play ib your DVD player...if it is not same, then u have to burn it by using the same format as your ordinary DVD..or if it is same, then your DVD player cannot support the type of DVD that u use...for example like DVD-9, most cheapest DVD player cannot recognize the type of DVD that is used eventhough u use original DVD...

Video freezes playing burnt dvd from computer on a dvd player

dvd players are finiky things they do not like burnt dvd's at all and some will just lock up computers on the other hand can handel those because burnt dvd's are in a coding format that computers can read much easier than a dvd player your best bet is to just buy the dvd non burned and see if that fixes it. good luck and If you ever need anymore help with electronics questions pleases dont hesitate to ask me at dragon_rage27@att.blackberry.net

Is a Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder codec or driver needed to play DVD disks on computer?

There are work arounds... but the reason is when its burnt and finialized its written in .vob format which is dvd mpeg2 format. majority of windows media player codecs wont pick it up. divx does. its just the format its burnt in and you cant change obviously. you can just try like nero showtime which always works or ending up ripping the disc on the computier but that might defeat your purpost of burning them in the first place. Its not the dvd recorder i may add, its just the format. by the way its a magnavox unit made by funai... www.funai-corp.com/support and trust me your not going to get much out of their. your better off going into forums finding more high depth problems if you really want this to work for firends and families and such.

Playing burnt DVD disks on other dvd players

It is very possible that the head alignment on your DVD recorder is a little out.

Also, make sure that you are closing the session after doing the recording (burn). If the session is not closed, the DVD will not be playable on other players.
