The F1 code indicates a failure of the Electronic Oven Control circuit, otherwise known as the EOC or clock.

The standard repair procedure for this error code is to replace the EOC circuit board.

You can try to reset the unit by shutting off the breaker to the stove at the house's main electrical panel. Leave the breaker off for 5 minutes, then switch it back on. If the stove still displays te F1 error code, then you have no choice but to replace the EOC circuit board.

You can purchase the circuit board and carry out the disassembly / replacement procedure yourself, or you can contact your local appliance dealer or service representative and have them do it for you. I am uncertain as to your willingness / ability to carry out major appliance disassembly and repair procedures, so I will not go into much more detail on that unless requested.

Obviously, if your stove is still covered under warranty, then just contact your dealer and arrange for warranty service.

I did not find any parts listed for that model so you may want to double check the model number you quoted, however EOCs generally run around $200 in price.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any questions, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

Thank you very much and good luck.

You may have trouble finding a replacement part for that unit.

I did not find any available anywhere online.

If it is only a bad connection between the circuit board and the stove, maybe removing it, and disconnecting / reconnecting the contacts on the cable with improve the electrical connection and clear the error code. Just follow the safety instructions for the procedure in the how-to guide.

    Good luck.

My stove keeps beeping and showing F1-8 on the display and telling me to call a tech. What is the problem. This slide in stove is abou 6 years old.

The F1-8 error code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck in and the touchpad needs to be replaced. The computer runs a self check on the oven several times per hour and it thinks a button on the touchpad has malfunctioned. Depending on your exact model the touchpad is a seperate peice or it has been intergrated into the control panel, so if it's seperate only it needs to be replace,if it's intergrated the whole control board needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps ya

My stove reads F1 and I push the cancel pad to

f1 indicates a faulty erc electronic range control or a stuck key pad. First check the keypad by pressing each button one at a time. You should hear a click and feel it fully retract. If it does not replace the keypad. If the keypad is working properly the erc will need to be replaced. Here is a link that should help with this problem

F1 flashing on gas stove-manual says to push clear-where is clear button

HI. This actual code cannot be cleared by pushing the Clear/off button. This actual button will usually be located on the touch pad and is a basic cancel button. You can try to reset the entire control board by simply unplugging the unit for 5 minutes. This may correct the issue. If resetting dose not correct this fault, the necessary actions are to have the defective main PCB replaced, asap.

My stainless frigidaire professional series electric stove oven door is locked...i did not self clean it, but it is locked somehow...if i hold either the lock button, or the clear/off button for 15 seconds...

F1 is an EOC (electronic oven control) failure. The control is expensive. But before you go and buy this board, you need to find a diagram to see of this model oven lock is controlled by the EOC or by a micro switch. If you have a lock button on the board the you have to replace the EOC.

My kenmore oven is beeping and will not stop. the display shows F-1.

Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacment of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal checksum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
