    Hi,

Thanks for the info. The 3rd one from the left that looks like a match stick with a signal is the Wireless Light.

It means that the wireless capability of the router is enable. If you want to connect using Wireless connection on you Laptop you need to know the SSid (Network Name) and the Network Key or Passphrase.

To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access your router you need to use a computer that is connected to it. Open a Browser then type 192.168.0.1 or http://routerlogin.net. The Default username is admin and the password is password. Password is case sensitive.

If the admin and password won't work you can reset the router by pressing the reset button at the back of the router using a pen or paperclip. Mkae sure that the router is on when doing a reset

Select Wireless Settings from the main menu to display the Wireless Settings Screen. The screen mostlike the same as below.

Take note of the SSID or Network Name and under Security Options you can generate or personalize the password. If the screen is look like below then generate a passphrase.

    WEP

    WPA

After you created a password on your laptop click on Start then click on Connect to, Select the Name of the Network or SSID and if you put a password enter the password you have generated. Password or Network Key is case sensitive.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for using Fixya.

Netgear N150 Wireless usb adapter just installed. It identifies router and confirms good connectivity, but continues "acquiring network address" without success.

This means the DHCP service is not enabled on the wireless router.

either enable the DHCP service on the wireless router

or

Give a static IP onto your wireless NIC card ( Netgear N150 Wireless usb adapter )
