How do I connect the pwer, reset, pwr led, hdd led on packard bell iextreme m5730 motherboard, serial number PTU300X0109251007D

They have a crappy website. I couldn't even find a motherboard diagram in the manual. You can determine which is the power pins by trying plugging the power connector in on each set of pins and pushing the power button until it starts. It needs to be plugged in when you try pushing the power button of course. There would be around 10 pins in two rows the power pins would be on the same row. they should be near the edge of the mother board and usually the power button pins are on the row furthest from the edge. I can't guarantee that though

Packard Bell Master CD

If I where looking for this, I'd hit up yellowpages.com and look for all computer shops, antique malls, pawnshops and flea markets in the area and start making calls to see if they have antiquated technology laying around.

I, personally, love tinkering around with these old machines. It's been a hobby since they where new! lol And I'm a pawn broker, so I'd be one shop that may have what you need. (I don't, unfortunately, I looked.) And you'd be shocked what all you can find for a quarter at a flea market or an antique mall.

Can i upgrade my packard bell 5090 motherboard?

No. And old isn't what your PC is......it's ancient. Packard Bell machines from that era were in proprietary cases, making upgrades difficult if not impossible. Additionally, the power supply will probably be underpowered and will may not have the correct power connectors for modern mainboards . It's time to part with the old relic and get a new one.

Need to buy Packard Bell keyboard relacement for S/N BCKB21006311: P/N 6837780001. Can you advise/?

Packard bell should be a standard PS2 keyboard, I would just get one at your local thrift store for a couple bucks. Look at the connector where it plugs into the tower and then just make sure the new one looks the same, should work good. Most modern keyboards are USB, but packard bell is old and may not work with this type. You could go find a new PS2 keyboard at a store but it will be about $20

Cant use old packard bell speakers

No . The reason that you cannot is that they are amplified type speakers and the amplifier section appears, based upon what you stated, to be in the old monitor.                      Sorry.

hi steve

do you have acess to some thing that can show me a photo of what you need assists in or the page you are looking at so i can review the same document you are viewing so we can determ what they want. there must be some different abour v1.1 and v2.1, the size of the board or the board layout, the design, msi configuration is different, power supply location, or the high-th maybe the differance, the list can go on to infinity, set the board in front of you, map out the connection, trace the old wire pro the old equipents, see if they have the same amount connections and plug ins, if they are different than find out which items have different connector contact the manufacture ask for the engineering department and or wirining diagram layout, find out which wires color are used and which one core a late with the new board and remove the old ones, i had a system that had a different speaker pin layout and trace all the wires for the new set of wires, the old one had two 2 ground wires as the new one only had i ground wire i had splice the two 2 ground wires together.
if you need more help please contact me or leave me a phone # where i can call you and i will help you figure out the new design.

Rebooting

When booting wait for the manufacturers screen to appear, i.e acer, packard bell etc... then press Alt and tap F10 this will bring up the recovery manager to enable you to restore your computer to factory settings.

Before you do this when you boot press F2 to go into the bios and make sure that D2D is enabled.

I hope this helps

Can't Find Battery on old Packard Bell PC

Look on the system board for a watch type battery, about the size of a nickle, they can sometimes be in a yellow or greenish pouch with two leads/wires with a connector on the end.
