Just simply take the battery out and the phone will shut off. You will not lose any contacts or other memory as long as the phone is on idle

My cellphone wont turn on after giving a notice that my memory is full. i need help. what to do?

try doing a hard reset (will erase everything on the phone)....to start make sure the battery is fully charged.
hold the call key (green key) + 3 + * whiles you turn (power on) the phone. continue holding till you are asked for something like a language to choose from (that is if everything goes well).
let me know what happens next.
good luck.

I want to know how to format my nokia 6600 cellphone manualy will you pls help me?

Since you want to format the phone you can follow this steps in doing that:

Method One
Verify that your phone does not have a discharged battery. Charge phone until battery icon shows a full charge.
Save all personal information to the MMC memory card. Turn off the Nokia 6600 and remove memory card.
Simultaneously press the green dial key, the "*" key and the "3" key. Continue to hold those three keys while turning on the phone. Do not release the three keys until the formatting message is displayed on the screen.
Wait for a few moments while the phone reformat. Once completed, the phone will be restored to fresh out-of-the-box store defaults.
Reinstall personal information from the MMC memory card.

Method Two
Verify that phone does not have a discharged battery. Charge phone until battery icon shows a full charge.
Save all personal data to a removable memory card. Turn off phone and remove memory card.
Turn on phone. When phone is fully powered up, key in the following sequence, "#7370#". Answer "Yes" when phone asks if you really want to format phone.
Enter pass code "12345" when the Nokia 6600 asks for the confirmation code.
Wait while phone reformat. The process may take a few minutes.
Replace the memory card and restore personal data.

This is phone's software problem. It comes when u pulled out battery in on phone's position. You can give it to repair to any skilled technician or to company customer support. They will put it right. This is not a big problem. If u found this a step towards solving your problem, do vote here.
