1 Answer

I have a JENSEN CR590X, There is no input jack, I would like to use my I pod or other devices .Is there a a way to use the CD CHANGER mode for inline operation for an input jack? I don't want to use the cassette adapter.

I DO NOT want to use the cassette adapter because of the noise it generates.
I also know that there is a way to fool the radio by using the CD changer
port, as an input jack connection. Instead of a CD changer there will be an
input jack there. But I don't have a wiring diagram for the radio. I've also
heard about using the aux. RCA plugs on the radio but I don't know. Now I'm
using 2 RCA plugs to run an amp. If you have no other solution then sorry for you time and have a good day.

Thanks for your help. It's more info than I got else where. It's worth the $6.00 I paid. I'll try what I got and if I think about it I'll let you know how it turns out.

For these old devices without a line in connector there are converters like this so that with a low cost you can connect any player you like (cd, ipod, mp3, tuner etc) to the cassette player.

I suggest to you the easiest solution. In case your Jensen has an RCA input you can use it for line in. Let me try to locate your's model to provide you more technical solutions.

    I'm back with these suggestions:
    1. iPod Interface Cable

    2. CD Changer Input

    3. Wired FM modulator. This type of connection transmits the signal DIRECT to the aerial, so the quality is much better than any typical FM modulator.
    4. Another one solution is to create your own connector for the cd changer using this pin-out diagram:

I don't encourage you to the last solution because I'm not sure that your Jensen takes this topology for the pin-out (it's a matter of year that has been manufactured).

Preplace the charger by another device

Yes it is possible with any cd changer that have RCA jacks behind the radio,
that is your case, you are goin gto install a audio sensing device, when the ipod is on the cd changer will stop,
when the ipod is off the cd changer will play 10 seconds later
this interface is only rca jacks easy to plug behind the radio and you can use any audio source, ipod mp3 sat radio
you can also buy a ipod cable

audio sensing device, it is made for sony, but will work with any rca jacks source, also cd changer must be present all the time, don't remove it

Jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

Is it possible: change cd changer input to ipod input

I'm afraid not. The best advice I can give you is to get a Radio Tuner Adapter for your I-pod. Most prople will tell you to use a Cassette adapter, and this is fine. However it sounds like you want the best sound you can get from your I-pod. The tuner adapter is the way to get it. You will get a better sound frequency range from your factory tuner than your cassette. The factory Head unit in your Sable isn't bad, just changing the factory speakers will make a huge diffrence. Good Luck, and don't forget to vote.

Where is the auxillary input jack jensen mp5720

the auxiliary input is the 2 RCA cables dongling out of the rear of the unit , you can get an adaptor to turn them into a jack , or an adapter cable for your ipod to jack into the rca inputs .

Uv8 problem!!!! please help

Ipod controls usually go to the cd changer input or auxiliary input. They might have just updated the the looks but usually the inside is the same, especially if they have the same model number. By the way you can get that ipod cable really cheap on ebay.
