How do i unfreeze my tablet

Hold down power button until shuts off. If freezing continues then has a virus. Go to app store and download avast and do a full system scan. If can't do that then do a factory reset. Back up everything on computer first. Hold down home button, power button and volume down at the same time when powered off. After boot screen release only the power button. When a screen loads use volume keys to navigate to factory restore and press power button then wait till done. If volume down doesn't work then use volume up instead.

My apps on my android tablet have disappeared

Has somebody accidently held the 'Volume Up' key at the same time as switching it on? This can start a system reset wiping all your apps. Were your apps stored on an SD card that somebody has removed? It's also possible that certain malware has been/or still is active on it. Today an ever growing percentage of malware is being targeted at Android, because of it's increasing popularity.
