Question about Computers & Internet
1--go to the network settings under control panel and see if it says there that the internet is connected or not .
2--try shutting your wifi off and then turn it on . you can even try restarting your system .
3 -- try connecting to an alternate network .
4-- if it says it is still connected and you can not access any website , try opening the same web site in an alternate browser .
5-- lastly if it still shows connection bit fails to open any page ,
do this --- click Start + R . or go to Start>Accessories>Run .
in the window that opens type this --- ping google.com -t . and then hit enter .
if the internet is working you should see this message " Reply from 22.214.171.124 : bytes 32 time 102 secs TTL "
this shows the net is working ( website replying back ) .
then the website you are trying to access might be down .
If you get a message like - " request timed out . " or " host unreachable " ,,,
then your Internet provider is having a down time ...
hope it helps
