Hi, the H6 error code means Outdoor Compressor motor position detection sensor error which needs an inverter tester to check it and probably replace it.

Hi rod_hucker,

Just to add, H6 is an Outdoor Compressor motor position detection sensor error. You need an Inverter tester to check this error. You could also try this link for the manual, may not work but just give it a try.

Manual link

--> you need to create an account to be able to download the manual.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Your compressor position detection sensor is faulty. You'll need an engineer to sort it sorry.

Fujitsu inverter air cond. Just stopped working properly. Model outdoor AOT30PMAL indoor unit AST30PBA-W. Code oper. Red led flashes fast continously green led (timer) repeats 13 slow flashes. After power...

It sounds like your inverter is at fault. You will need an inverter tester ( most good service techs will have one ) to prove that the output to the compressor is correct. If the inverter is okay then it will be the compressor at fault with a location error or it is simply seized. A common fault that caused this was the eev remained closed (coil failure ) and caused the compressor to over heat.

Kenmore room air cond fan runs, no cool. checked

if the fan motor is on but the compressor is not : if the compressor has correct voltage up to the terminals and is not operating, the compressor is bad, if ther is not power to the terminals, the start components may be the culprit, if there is no power to the start componenets then the controller is the issue.

Air cond dash light works, compressor doesn't go on.

AC's have a low freon switch that shuts off the system to protect the compressor in the advent that you have a freon leak have the system checked for a leak

'96 cadillac deville has no air.cond./heat

Unfortunately for you ( i had the same problem) The A/C compressor HAS to be in working order on these cars or else all heck breaks out with the climate control.

If it's a nice car, get a new compressor installed. If it's borderline- get rid of the car.

I paid 2200 to Cadillac to fix the A/C and climate control only to have the transmission fail in my '93.

I dumped the car soon thereafter....
