I have a Maytag range model #MES5752BAB, it is 5 mo old. The code 30 comes up on the screen when I push the bake button or the broil button, followed the clock losing time. Numerous repair men have looked at this range and tried replacing many things, the problem has not been solved. Please help me.
We've had the same problem. We bought this in March, '08 and noticed a problem within a short period of time. We finally called for service in October. The technician replaced the panel, but the new one started doing the same thing almost right away. I called Maytag to inquire about it. The customer service rep said she didn't have any notes pertaining to a widespread problem with it. I told her I was concerned about ours going out of warranty before the problem would be fixed and she extended it for another year. You may want to do the same thing. We have a technician coming tomorrow to replace it again. I'm going to tell him that I'm going to keep calling every week, if I need to, in order to get Maytag's attention to this problem. I don't want a "fix", I want a corrected panel- one that's perfect- straight from the factory!!

You are in the Tiller and Cultivator section of FIXYA but have you tried unplugging or shutting off the Breaker for a few seconds and let the Oven 'reboot'? Ahh, what ever happened to the simple good old fashioned Ovens?
Here is your online use & care manual which explains all about the Sabbath mode on page 15:
The bake element on any stove can burn out. It is easy to replace. First disconnect at least one end and check it with an ohmmeter. If it is defective, it will have a high resistance. I have bought replacement elements from RepairClinic.com.
I have the same problem. I bought it new in the fall of 2007. They replaced the control panel but that didn't help. Next they replaced the whole range with a new one, same model, still the same problem. They told me it was a problem with my electric in my house. Then they said it was a strange electro-magnetic field in my neighborhood and I would have to buy a different brand? One time with the original stove the oven quit working and I had to re-set the breaker. Everything still works but the clock is always wrong. We bought all Maytag stuff, including fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The kitchen stuff is 4 years old. The washer and dryer are 3 years old. We have had this issue with the stove, the washing machine broke and they had to replace the whole drum assembly, and last week my refrigerator broke. Very disappointed with Maytag stuff. So has anyone found a solution?
You said, you went to set the timer while baking a pizza and I got a "set or en" on
the display of my Maytag Gemini Ceramic Top electric oven. How old is the range? And the model number?
Threat it like an error code. This can reset the system. Turn the breaker off to cut the power for 5 minutes. Then restart the breaker and try the range. It's like rebooting your computer when its acting strange! Usually it corrects some error problems if they are not serious. Or they are sometimes just a glitch.
If this does not remedy the problem, then the switch itself is bad. Let me know how it works out. Huuum, Please remember to leave a rating
You said, Your Maytag oven's clock won't turn on. It just says
"OFF", but there is a lack of a visible on button.
The range works fine but I cant bake because I cant set the time let
alone a temperature.
What is the model and year of your range?
Try to turn off the rage and then throw the breaker of for 5 minutes and then see if this sresets the system. How long has this been going on? Or did it just start ? And how log have you had this range working fine!
