Hello

White/black/or "staticy" screens are indications that the CCD sensor has failed. It is the image sensor that the camera sees with. The camera itself may be operating just fine otherwise, but you can no longer see anything (as the camera can not) via the LCD screen (as it is relaying what the CCD sensor sees).

Unfortunately, your camera will have to be repaired. However, with a camera of that age, you may be better served by purchasing a new one, which will have more features for around the same price as a repair.

I don't know how to use the lcd screen when taking pictures

Many cameras that have view finders do not support use of the LCD display to compose or frame a picture. This is generally to conserve battery life of the camera. Most of these cameras limit how long a picture is displayed on the screen to 10 or 15 seconds, immediately after taking for the very same reason.

The exception would be a camera that lacks a view finder - or has a menu item that allows the user to compose the picture on the LCD in addition to the viewfinder. Some manufacturers call this "live view". Check your camera manual to see if it is supported. If so, be sure to buy extra batteries!

I hope this helps & good luck!

No picture on lcd and view finder

First of all if u r unable to view only pictures on the lcd, I consider to go as mentioned below:

Check out the manual of the camera for correct settings for lcd display. If you cannot find in the manual provided alongwith the camera.

Secondly if u find no display on lcd, approach the nearest customer care service centre for checking the lcd display, which may be defective.

My display screen wont come on

There is a button that changes from the View Finder to the screen. (LCD or EVF) .
Can you still see through the viewfinder ? -
If you can't see through the view finder or on the LCD then there is a connection problem inside the camera. Which is a NIKON technician job - sorry -- Ray

My sony DSC-H1's LCD is not showing anything...but I can operate the camera with its view finder... Do you have any idea why it happens? and is there any master reset option for this camera?

I have a similar SONY camera. Turn the camera on and to the right of the viewfinder (or perhaps in a different location on your model) there will be a small button that reads, "FINDER/LCD". Press that button once to see if your view switches back from viewfinder mode to LCD display mode.

Query Regarding No Display on LCD (view finder) in Canon Digital IXUS 750

With the camera on, have you tried pressing the DISP button once? It's the lower left button on the back of the camera. It manually turns the display on or off as desired to save batteries (you can then aim through the optical viewfinder).

Gr-dvx7 jvc lcd screen is just white?

If the view finder shows the same white display. You probably have display circuit problem in the camera. Faulty CCD chip usually shows Black screen so it probably board problem or a connector problem. If you see an image through view finder then you may have defective connection from board to LCD assy. Either way it need to be looked at by a trained technician. Good luck.
