Question about Computers & Internet

I have a dell inspiron 530 and purchased a visiontek radeon hd 4350 so that I could use dual monitors but my system does not seem to recognize. I get configuration error on boot up stating I need to connect a monitor. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm running vista 64 bit.

Make sure that the card is firmly seated in the PCI-e connector which is the closest connector to your computer's CPU. The small tab on the end of the connector should be locking the card in place. Also, make sure that you have followed all steps in the quick install guide that is provided with the graphics card.

Yes It should work with your system. Another thing you may want to look at is upgrading to windows 7 or 8. If I remember correctly this system shipped with vista which is a huge resource hog and will slow down your computer even more.

VisionTek Radeon HD 5450 VHDCI doesn't seem to recognize monitors?

Try one monitor at a time, if you get nothing, reseat the card, if you get nothing try another port like display port or hdmi. If you get nothing take the card out and try the onboard graphics. IF you get something with the onboard, replace the card.

ATI Radeon HD 4350 will not display red.

Hello,

It could be a problem with the monitor cable.

Try unplugging and re-plugging the PC to monitor cable (VGA cable)

If possible, Use a different monitor to ensure that your video card is working fine.

HI,
You can go into the BIOS , under onboard devices. Change the primary video controller to PCI.
refer to the following screen
http://supportapj.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4700/sm/syssetup.htm#wp1052347

If the cards are not detected on the board. Then the problem could be of the PCIe slot .

Thanks

Installed New RAM, Now Have Display Problems (color)

It appears something has happened with the video card or connector especially if it displays fine with the onboard video and original memory. Disconnect power and reinsert the video card into it's slot.

Need to connect 2 displays to Vision Tek RADEON X1300256 card

You probably should have gotten a card that had Dual DVI because it will be two separate outputs instead of one... I would take it back and get the correct Graphics Card.
