Question about HP J3680 Officejet All In One Printer

HP officejet J3608 says "

    I'am able to print.

    It says "unable to scan, copy"

    I downloaded the scan diagnostic tool from the HP site and the driver seems to be corrupt. I also read somewhere to reinstall the entire software on the PC, which I did from the CD but the problem still problems and the diagnostic tool still says the driver is corrupt.

    Is there any way to just reinstall the scan, copy driver ? What other possibilities are there for the solution ?

I am using HP Officejet J3608 all-in-one, it shows me that "Cartridge error : Refer to device documentation for troubleshoot" Pls give me a solution for this


This could be a faulty cartridge or you may have installed a expired cartridge , try replacing the cartridge with a new one, if that doesnt work, then try a hard reset.

A hard reset = unplug printer from the wall,
press and hold the power button for 45-60 sec then plug back in and turn on.
That should clear the error.

Visit the above link. Select the drivers according to the Operating System you have on you PC. Download and install.

Hi,

The HP Officejet 4355 can print, scan, copy and fax.

You need to install the printer software to print and scan. Copy and faxing does not required software installation.

It won't scan.


The first thing to do is to use your installation disc and reinstall the printer on your computer. It sounds like the install did not install completly. Also make sure you use the disc for your type of computer it will make a difference.
