Please go to this site: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=412123&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=416419&lang=en&cc=us&y=0&x=0
Choose your language and OS and download the 'Universal Print Driver'
Install the driver.
Now disconnect and reconnect the printer to your computer system. It should install correctly through 'Add Printer Wizard'
And if it doesn't the please Download Winrar and use it to extract the driver. And specify the the newly extracted folder in the add printer wizard. And you will hopefully be good to go.

Panasonic IEEE 1284

Not sure what the question is. IEEE 1284 is a parallel cable interface, standard on most computers up until Windows XP for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_1284. This interface was substantially replaced by USB. If you have an older printer with this interface you can still connect this to a newer computer without the parallel interface by installing an interface card (into a desktop computer) or connecting via a Parallel to USB adapter.

I am simply making a copy and it is printing super slow.

hELLO IDEAL58ST,

While printing from the USB Port sometimes slow printout/data transfer will result in slow printing of print jobs. SOLUTION: Solution After the printer is installed on the USB Port, check the description under the Ports Tab what is selected. Please refer to the figure below : c00873625.jpg Using the USB/ Virtual Printer Port and DOT4/ HP Laserjet 2420, under the Port/Description Tab printer speed will be as per the standard. Whereas using the DOT4/ Generic IEEE 1284 under Port/Description Tab, Printer speed will be very slow. If DOT4/ Generic IEEE 1284 is selected by default, then you have to uninstall the USB driver from the Device manager and plug in the USB cable again. Then it will detect the printer and USB port with respect to the printer model.

THANKS.

I have gone thru the setup and the modem and wireless combo is not being seen by the computer. the computer wqnts to connect to the internet using our neighbors wireless connection. can you give me some...

Are you tryiing to connect to your wireless router?
If so, you can configure your wireless connection to automatically go to your connection and you can kick out your neighbors, if it is already automatically connecting.

The Modem and wireless combo on your printer will show in your device manager. Your wireless printer will most likely show as a 1284 IEEE printer

The modem will show up under modems.

If you need further info, or if I am not understanding your question I am sorry, I do hope this helped some.

I want to purchase a laptop printer Canon bjc 80 will it connect to my vaio via the usb or whatever the 15 pin plug is on the left hand side

According to the specs this printer uses IEEE 1284 connection which is infrared. So you would have to have an infrared receiver/transceiver on your laptop or purchase and install one. In other words this printer does not connect directly to your USB port or your Paralell Port.

Lexmark to HP problem

I've never successfully connected a Lexmark USB printer to a Parallel port with an adapter as the adapter doesn't provide bi-directional commP, use a USB powered hub, if the system doesn't have USB, try an USB expansion PCI card

How do I connect my X6150 to my PC just to scan pictures into the computer

I believe that the AIO Lexmark printers connected to the PC via the USB port on the PC.

They also may have connected by a parallel port connection using the ECP connection protocol of the IEEE 1284 Standard.
