The LAN driver published by Gateway is accessible here.
http://global-download.gateway.com/GDFiles/Driver/Lan/Lan_Realtek_5.612.413.2004_XPx86XPx64_A.zip?acerid=634154467912734187&Step1=DESKTOP&Step2=GT%20SERIES&Step3=GT4024&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=GATEWAY&SC=PA_6G

Simply install the driver, then restart the computer and your Network Adapter should be visible within the Device Manager.

Alright, here's a potential solution for you:

1) Take the wireless adapter out of your computer.

2) Open the Control Panel, then click System, then access the Device Manager.

3) Click View, and then Show Hidden Devices.

4) The wireless card should be visible under the Network Adapters heading, and it probably has some icon on it to tell you there's a problem (the problem is you took the card out).

5) Right-click on the device and select Properties.

6) Uninstall the driver.

Also, some drivers show up in the Programs and Features (formerly Add/Remove Programs) menu in the Control Panel, so that's another possible way to remove the driver. Good luck!

My network adapter disappeared on mt desktop- do I

You might need to check the Device manager to see if the network card is there and installed properly. If the device manager says it is there and working then it will be a hardware issue.

Just in case your not sure how to get to Device manager, here is a shortcut. Right click on My Computer, click Manage. This will bring up the management console, have a look down the left and find Device Manager.

Presario f700 - network adaptor no longer visible - OS vista

Well you can re seat the card meaning the network card. You can also try the manufacturers website and download the drivers.

Or see what worked for others.

You could try www.nvidia.com and look for drivers for your
particular Chipset.
TO GET ETHERNET:

1) extract files
2) install manually through device manager

ECS p4m800pro m2 Onboard Network Adapter does not show up in windows

Try disabling the network adapter in the bios and removing any network adapter in device manager in Windows
Then reboot
Windows so it thinks there is no network adapter.
Then
Reboot into bios and re-anable the onboard network adapter.
Then see if windows detects the network adapter now that it is enabled.

Wireless Lan on HP Pavilion M1000

Surely you can find out if you have a wireless network card installed . For this you can goto device manager and under network adapters look for any wireless adapter.

Heres How you check device manager.
  • Right-click My Computer then select Properties
  • Select the Hardware tab
  • Click the Device Manager button
  • Alternative solution: invoke devmgmt.msc
  • Alternative solution #2: Device Manager is part of the Computer Management, which also includes Event Viewer, Services Manager, Disk Management, as well as many other things. Right-Click My Computer then select Manage to start Computer Management, or invoke compmgmt.msc.

Also I am not too sure about what system you are using and whats the operating system you are using.
