Question about Garden

1 Answer

Please help me as I purchased a Rubbermaid Home & Office Cart model 4401 and need to know which are the correct caster wheels for it.Is it the 5 in. 2 rigid and the 2 swivel with the 4 holes or is it the 4 in. 4 swivel casters w/insert that locks in the white plastic? If it's the first-what size screw is needed and if it's the second, what is the size (diameter /length) Went to Lowes,Home Depot and Ace and no one could help me with it. I called several distributors and go nowhere.Called Rubbermaid, but no hardware (either screws or plastic) were sent

I see the description says, "500-lb. capacity model has ... 5in dia. casters for extra stability. .... Four nonmarking casters two swivel."

As to screw size, I can't estimate without seeing it, so I would suggest going to a place that sells it.
But you could also ask Rubbermaid:
"For replacement parts, please contact Rubbermaid Consumer Service by calling 1-888-895-2110 Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET or by email using our contact form."

I have a rubbermaid poly farm cart that needs a new wheel. Where can I find one?

Home centers carry wheels for mowers, wagons, and wheelbarrows. Maybe you can find something that will work or adapt. Good luck!

Need 2 casters

Is the model number FMP330RGB as listed at the very top? That number does not cross.

There are the parts listed as wheels / caster for Frigidaire:

If you need more assistance just respond here with the complete make and model number and we will help you.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Changing the dual axle on an Invacare recliner to lower seat

You will need to remove the rear tires and front casters. If you look at the front caster fork there should be some extra holes where you can re-position the caster wheel. Likewise on the hole where the rear tires mounts there should be a hole above it where you can re-mount the tire. So just move the caster and wheel up to the next hole. If there are no holes to move up to then you cant lower the chair. The only other options would be to install a drop seat which you`ll have to purchase from a dealer or install smaller wheels and casters. So, for instance, say you have 8" casters and 24" wheels you would then install 6" casters and 22" wheels. Good Luck and let me know how it turns out.
