Can't understand "holding the jabra in 2 spots (what 2 spots?)" and "get the jabra going blue re blue red" The blue tooth light is either flickering blue when searching or blank when there"s not signal, but never red.

  • Juan Velasquez Mar 15, 2011

Yes turning blue tooth AND iphone4 on and off worked. I still can't understand part of the solution to "hold the jabra in 2(?!) spots and get jabra going blue red blue red"

Hi johnnygy turn the blurtooth off on your i4 phone. next put thejabra back in disovery mode. TO do that you will need to hold the jabra in 2 spots. next you will need to get the jabra going blue red blue red. turn on the blue tooth signal.on the iphone4. the phone will pair now. put in your code 0000. you will be good to go.

The first thing you have to do is delete the previous pair settings from the phone after doing this restart the device and try pairing again. Usually the device pairing could have had some malfunction thats why it stopped working but it wont pair again because the phone already recognises the device as being paired with settings on the phone so when you delete the settings and restart the phone can then try pairing the device then and it should function appropriately. Although most bluetooth devices dont support music as it drains battery life quickly you might have to get a headset for the music to function.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

The jabra stone device will not pair with my mobile phone. It was paired at one time but has since quit working.

Depending on the phone, Some phones need to be set to be visible so that Jabra can find it when it is ready to pair.
I would delete the paired entries on the phone and do a fresh pair to the phone.
Do let me know if you are able to do this or can chat and walk you thru.

I am having trouble pairing the Jabra Stone with my iPhone 3gs. I have held down the stone button multiple times and nothing happens. Also i have turned it on and off multiple times, but it just wont...

Hi, Look for "Add new device". Hit OK.
the phone will search for a couple seconds. If your headset is in paring mode, it will show up on the phone either with the name of device or something like this [unknown headset] or [b2.c3.f4.56.a1] (called a MAC address).

Either way, select it, and hit OK.

The phone will now ask you for a "Pin" or "Passcode", which is a 4 digit number. Headsets will ALWAYS have 0000 (four zeros) as a pin or passcode. I have never encountered a headset with a different number as a passcode. I have been in wireless for 10 years, and still have not found a headset that has any different numbers.

Enter these four zeros and select "OK"

The headset and phone will connect to each other. The phone will display a message that will be something to the effect of:
"Connected to headset".

I've reviewed Bluetooth headsets before, and I would have to say that the Jabra STONE is one of the sleekest looking. Its shape is designed with minimalist simplicity, with a shape made for either the left or the right ear.

This shape goes onto a charger that is perfectly made to accept the Jabra STONE like a puzzle piece. This charger is probably what sets the STONE apart from most Bluetooth headsets, as it can charge the headset as the user goes. A green indicator means that it has enough charge for one full time or more. The red indicator means that it needs to be charged.

The STONE can be charged with an AC cord or USB connection. Once it is charged, there is a pairing indicator that made it simple to sync with my mobile phone. It has about 12 days (288 hours) of standby time and 8 hours of talk time.

I found that pairing the STONE with my phone was quite simple. In a matter of seconds, it was connected to my phone and I was making my first phone call on it.

The sound for the STONE is pretty good, with dual microphones and their trademarked Noise Blackout Extreme and crystal clear sound and voice with DSP.

One of the big features that I found is the touch sensitive volume control. In other words, there is no buttons for controlling the volume. I welcomed that, and most volume controls on Bluetooth headsets are really, really tiny buttons.

Other features include the ability to connect to two devices at a time, and it can stream music from an A2DP enabled mobile phone.

This is the problem that I had with the STONE. I found that there isn't really a "standby" indicator. I found that using it was a hit or miss situation. If I just pulled it out of the charger, it would sync with mobile it would work. When my phone rang later, and the headset was out of the stone cradle, and hitting the "connect" button didn't help. In short, I had to answer my phone. The Jabra STONE failed me, but I remember having similar awkward experiences when I first used other Bluetooth headsets.

The Jabra STONE comes with the headset, charger, 2 Eargels, a belt clip, AC charger, and a USB charger. You should be able to get it on Amazon for about $90 as the price to this writing.

I cant pair my jabra bluetooth to my evo!

First, put the headset into pairing mode. To do this, remove it from the Stone charger and press and hold the answer/end button until the lights flash four times slowly - this indicates that the unit is off. Then, press and hold the answer/end button again - you'll soon start to see lights flash - hold the button until the green light is on steady and the blue light is flashing. This is pairing mode. Now your Evo should be able to "find" the Stone to pair with it from within the Bluetooth menu on the phone.

I have tried everything in the manual to pair it with my iphone 3GS 4.1 but it's still not pairing. The iphone is looking and looking but doesn't find the device. Even turning the jabra stone of and then...

On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).

While your phone is in discovery mode, turn your bluetooth device on and put it in discovery mode (usually you have to hold the power button for 7-10 seconds).

Your phone will find the device, and you will be prompted to enter the devises PIN number (often 0-0-0-0). Your phone should pair with the device then.

How do i pair the jabra stone with the iphone 4? seems like i cant pick up anything from it when its in pairing mode.

Just did it myself. Ensure the iPhone is discoverable and searching.

Switch the Stone off by squeezing down the control surface until it bliddle-omps.
Put it into pair mode by squeezing the thang again until the bluetooth light flashes. Keep squeezing.
Watch the iPhone - it will pair automatically - no password required.

Bluetooth

You can't, it either supports the feature (the phone has to support it too) or it doesn't. The exception is the Jabra Stone, that has apps that you can install for voice operation.
